Pistons fire coach Monty Williams after one season, owe him $65 million

The Detroit Pistons on Wednesday fired coach Monty Williams after one season, absorbing the remaining $65 million on his contract.

That's a big LMAO!

Even ESPN(who would praise Bronny if he tied his shoe the right way) had to admit that Bronny is just not an NBA player at this point in his life. Could he improve in 3 years and justifiably make a roster? Sure.

Bronny doesn't have to play away G League games. No commercial flights for Lebron's son.

Bronny sounds like a good guy with a good head on his shoulders. Wouldn't you step in and say 'enough with the preferential treatment, I need to be my own man'?

I guess he's going to join the Lakers when the GLeague team is on the road.

Horrible plan by the Lakers. Right now he needs all the court time in the GLeague he can earn. Because right now, even the GLeague is at least a level or two above his ability.

Boy are the Sixers a punchline these days.

I guess they forgot it's hard to win games when you baby your star players.

I've been complaining about Lakers catering to LBJ with Bronny.

But, I better give them props for drafting Knecht.

Celtics averaging 50 three point FGA per game. League average is 37 attempts per game.

Viewship is going down league wide. League thinks players putting up video game numbers(because good defense is prohibited by NBA rules) is a good thing.

Old school fans want to see some post play(not 5 out offenses), screens where you have to be standing still, etc...

Also, remember the days when you had the big matchups(Kareem vrs Parrish or Malone) (Wilkins vrs Bird) (Worthy vrs McHale) (Cooper vrs Bird) (Cooper vrs Dr. J) ( Dennis Johnson vrs Magic) (Jordan vrs Dumars or Starks) Those days are gone. Just illegal screen until you get best offensive player against worst defender.

Kareem, Moses, Wilt, Parrish, McHale, Gilmore, Shaq would be defensive liabilities in today's game. They were forces in a more balanced league.

Golden State was fun when it was new. Now everybody is doing it and it is wearing thin.
