I really am starting to like this guy ALOT. Trade down to around 19 or 20 and get a 2nd rounder back!

The Vikings have thus far added mostly defenders in Free Agency. They brought in Defensive Tackle Dalvin Tomlinson, Cornerback Patrick Peterson, Defensive End Stephen Weatherly, and Linebacker Nick Vigil. The team also brought back some offensive reserves in Tackle Rashod Hill and Receiver Chad Beebe.

Since they lost Left Tackle Riley Reiff and have not brought back Left Guard Dakota Dozier, they need to do more work finding replacements for the left side of the offensive line.

Luckily, this draft is very strong at the Offensive Tackle position. Samuel Cosmi had an explosive Pro Day. He measured 6'6" 314 with 33-inch arms. He ran a blazing 4.85 forty with a 10-yard split of 1.68, and a 20-yard split of 2.75. He broad jumped almost 10 feet and vertical jumped 30 inches. Cosmi has a near-perfect RAS score which confirms his above-average athleticism. He is a perfect fit for the Vikings' zone-blocking system.

Love this guy and they were raving about him on NFL Live

Probably could only get him in the early 2nd rd.

ELIJAH MOORE WR Ole Miss
🔥
PRO DAY
4.35 40yd
4.00 shuttle
6.66 3 cone drill

Every NFL team is looking for the kind of speed and explosiveness that makes pass-catchers like Tyreek Hill such dangerous weapons, and the 2021 draft class might just have that kind of prospect in Elijah Moore.

The Ole Miss product lit up his pro day, as expected, running a blazing 40-yard dash, and showing off his overall athleticism throughout the entire workout.

While the top of this year’s wide receiver class appears to be a clear-cut, three-horse race between LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase and Alabama’s tandem of Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith, Moore could be gunning for that No. 4 spot after putting up these numbers.

Minnesota’s Rashod Bateman, Florida’s Kadarius Toney and LSU’s Terrace Marshall Jr. could all have something to say about that, but don’t be surprised if Moore ends up coming off the board in the first round.

I don't believe I've seen a mock where he goes that early. Most have him pegged as a 3rd rd selection that needs to add weight and strength.

Video of him is pretty good. Late 1st, early 2nd probably.

Hmmm. Beginning to sound like a candidate for the magical 2nd rd.

I've been reminded that the Vikings still are lacking at edge rushing. With all of the free agency dollars going to defense they could draft one early in the draft.

You really think a 261 lb DE who is 6ft 2 1/2 inches fits Zimmer? Better look at the size he prefers at DE. Rousseau fits, but they have two massive holes on the left side of the OL. My bet is they sign Blythe or Lamp in FA and trade UP for Slater or take Vera-Tucker.

According to Daniel Jeremiah Paye ran a 4.54 forty today. I believe that's pretty good.

Vera Tucker with only 321/8" arm length

Might drop him down on most boards

That's why he should play guard, but guards don't usually go as high as #14. I just checked about Quenton Nelson. He was pick six and has an arm length of 33 3/4". Of course he is special. Still, Vera-Tucker could still be our choice. We could insert him at guard and forget about it and Cleveland could slide into his natural position at LT. It's like improving two positions on the line at the same time.

I think we could trade down a ways and possibly still land Tucker. Use that capital to trade back up and nab Wyatt Davis for RG and we'd be set.

Some prognosticators are now suggesting Cosmi at #14.

Get into the second round and pick Notre Dame's LT Liam Eichenberg. 6' 6", 300. Needs functional strength, but that's ok. When converted center Cole flops at LG we can move Eichenberg there and misuse both he and Cleveland at G.

Speaking of Notre Dame, Aaron Banks, G, 6' 5", 330. Projected for rounds 2-3.

Probably have to pass because he is a well-coached, nasty mauler for a run-heavy offense and not one of the special zone-blocking types who spend the game getting knocked on their asses.

Looks like Spielman is at that Miami pro day. It could affect day one of the draft.

Jalen Phillips especially turned heads today. I bet there are some GM's saying let's look at more film on that guy.

never really liked Rousseau, especially to the Vikings, his pro day only confirms it. Don't think he can win on the outside at an NFL level for multiple reasons. So I like him better inside, but he has a long way to go in terms of body composition to get there.

I'm fine with that so long as the trade down nets a 2nd rounder and we use that pick on O-line and then two more picks on O-line between the 3rd and 4th rounders.
