I haven't heard any sources saying Zim is happy with Cousins and won't trade him.

But one, probably non-credible source said the stickler was the Vikes wanted at least one 1st round pick for Cousins

Herbert set rookie records for total touchdowns (36), passing touchdowns (31), completions (396), multi-passing touchdown games (10), games with 300 yards passing (eight) and three-passing touchdown games (six). He was just 39 yards short of Andrew Luck’s rookie record of 4,374 yards passing.

Herbert received 41 of the 50 votes, with Jefferson getting the other nine.

The one thing lacking in Jefferson's resume is that he didn't score a lot of TD's. I hope that he ratchets that up in 2021.

It was disappointing to see that Jared Allen didn't make the Hall of Fame, but I could see that there were other deserving players who didn't make it as well. All of the players who did make it were well deserved.

How about Zim as the source:
“Kirk’s our guy,” Zimmer said Friday on NFL Network. “You know, he had a terrific year this year. We were fourth in the league on offense. We have to get better on defense — we had a lot of injuries and young guys — that’s my job to get it fixed.”

Now anyone link to a CREDIBLE source that the Vikings themselves are considering anything but Kirk being their QB, not just 2021, but 2022 as well.

They're not trading Kirk, and they're not drafting a QB high.

Or could be playing a little hard ball to drive up the price...

Updated NFC North Cap Space [note: parenthesis means negative numbers]

CHI: ($6.2 mil)
DET: $6.2 mil
GB: ($28.2 mil)
MIN: ($7.6 mil)

Didn’t realize how far in the hole the Packers are

(Jared Barsness on Twitter)

So I'm not clear about this. There is more cap space then predicted and so these updated numbers are much better for the Vikings?

Will I be the only one not watching the Super Bowl? I might take a peek at it, though.

Read where Car offered Det Bridgewater, the 8th overall pick and a 5th rder for Stafford

I wonder if the would make the same offer for Cousins

Vikings should do it if only offered the 8th pick and get Lance or package the 8th and 14th to move up,

Speilman wouldn't do it, his seat is warm to hot and he needs to win next year.

I assume you have other things going on. Why wouldn't I want to see what the two best teams in the NFL try to do in the biggest game in all of sports?

I ask you this, has a QB trade ever happened where no "credible sources" reported on rumors about, and only the "non-credible" sources were talking about it ?

Or trading for Lawrence or Watson would buy him time, and he can brag about Jefferson, the young CBs, Cleveland, etc ....

Today's Super Bowl confirmed the importance of dominating the LOS. As great as Mahomes is, he had no time. Rush the QB and protect the QB. Kirk could've filled in for TB today and won.

Not when there's already this much chatter based on a source with, at best, limited credibility. Someone else would have it. The point is that all of this chatter is based on next to nothing, and the team is clearly quite pleased with themselves and how they've built this team.

The line of scrimmage would have meant nothing had the guys downfield not all been covered. That was a total team effort on defense last night. The Bucs have the best linebacker crew in the league. The guys were covered downfield. The guys up front got pressure. Very impressive.

I knew Kansas City was in huge trouble in the first 30 minutes when they never tried to establish any type of running game. They put all the pressure on Mahomes and never gave him any help. A woeful performance by Andy Reid and his staff. I usually really like Reid, but they never made any adjustments and got outcoached badly on Sunday. They thought they could go through the motions and score points.

That was clearly the difference. KC had to go with both backup T's. Mahomes looked like a different qb since that concussion. He got beat up bad in this game.

Guys were covered. He attempted 49 passes. Todd Bowles was the big winner on Sunday.

One difference is Stafford had/has a much friendlier contract.

Our lost son Remmers was out there at LT. He was their starting RT during the season.

Remmers could have easily had 8 holding calls. Tough night for him.

I'm fine with this. I just hope he'll be less predictable in the running game. I'm fine with being known as a running team bc being able to run opens up so much. We need less 1 yard and a cloud of dust on 2nd down and 1 for example. Watching Cook slicing and dicing for 9 or 10 yards is great though. Surgical strikes vs painting with a wide brush.

I feel like there's very little chance we win less than 10 games next year.
