Cousins can restructure again, Brady has restructured many times.

You or anyone else could give money for nothing to a billionaire. Who has permanently given up money among all of these virtue-monger QBs and others? If you want Kirk to restructure at this point, you want him to be the Vikings' QB well into the future.

If there is a Cousins restructure it will be after the season. He only counts $21M against the cap next season. They will want to restructure after the year to avoid the $45 million dollar hit that comes after it.

Pretty sure he counts for $31M for 2021 and $45M for 2022; at least that's what Spotrac says.

My bad. That's the second time, I got caught looking at the cap savings column instead of cap number column with Cousins. I still don't see a scenario where Cousins restructures until after the season. He has said as much and he has all of the leverage.

I do that too.

Brought that up to him a couple of times a couple of months ago.

That's why I acknowledged it when I replied to bohumm.

Better late than never.

Late? No, I owned it then as well.

Owned it, lol. Then you must be losing it because you went right back to $21 million.

Yes, Bill I finally agree with you. You are most definitely losing it. That would explain your obsession with a mistake that I made a couple of moths ago.

That looks kind of like what I was expecting outside of Udoh playing LG. I really don't know how highly the Vikings regard him, since they preferred starting Dozier 16 games over giving Udoh a shot.

Cleveland staying at guard wouldn't surprise me. The Vikings place a high premium on guards being athletic and able to get to the second and third level of the defense in the run game. Cleveland was strong in that area last year. There is also too much chatter about the Vikings looking to trade for or draft a LT.

I would be a big fan of the idea of moving Udoh to RG and moving Cleveland to LT, pick up a free agent LG and then even trading back in the first to still pick the best player available at that spot.

All they gotta do is...something tangible with the Online...and this is it. HFA and our 1st SB trip in over 4 decades. I can't guarantee a SB win. Those are 50-50. And I don't even care. Most of you have a different history. I just want the buzzer to go knowing we really are playing in the SB...for the 1st time since long before I was a fan...but not too long after I was born.

They do something on oline...and this is it. I feel it.

As long as I don't screw it up.

We'll prove 18-2 is better than 18-1.

We can be scary good.

1st 2 draft resources to OL. Or a good free agent and a score with 1 of our 1st 2 picks.

It's like we are getting two defensive tackles in free agency with Pierce suiting up this season. If Hunter plays at a high level and Barr plays like he's playing in a contract year, those are all players that didn't contribute last year. Oh. I forgot to mention Peterson. We haven't had the draft yet, but clearly the defense will play at a higher level this upcoming season. Well, it could only be better. Last year was a disaster.

Let's hope they stay healthy, though.

Wrong, it was part of the current conversation. You are very prompt in replying, probably stems from insecurity.

Therein lies the rub. We were all saying the same thing about needing to focus on the oline last year and what happened? We started Dru Samia and Dakota Dozier...

Rob Brzezinski just carved out $5.6 million in new cap space by doing some cap moves with Barr's restructure. Added 2 voidable years to spread out the signing bonus hit and lowered the base salary.

Gives the #Vikings roughly $10,067,467 in cap space. Plenty of money for some offensive linemen.

Along with Dalvin Tomlinson it’s the second time I’ve seen the team use void years this offseason to lower cap hits

Twitter is a buzz right now that something big is going to happen.

If I had to guess on what would change with Peterson’s usage in Minnesota...

-not traveling full time (maybe situationally)
-less press reps (maybe press him situationally)
-more zone & off man
-strictly on the boundary/outside, no more slot
-some “exotic” rotations/other stuff

Rashawn Slater Northwestern. Can play anywhere on the OL.

I am looking forward to watching Minnesota, Arizona and Chicago as all teams that are likely to improve, and one of them could be significantly improved.

Rams and Colts could be contenders, of they can get great play from their QBs.

He used to go wherever the best receiver would line up. I believe Rhodes did some of that too in his prime.

That would seem ideal for the Vikings philosophy. The problem with that is it would mean drafting OL in the first round.

I believe Slater would stay at LT. Great choice if we can get him. My guess is that there will be more than one "great option" available at #14.

I agree Bruce and I would be damn happy if they got Slater at #14. And you're right, there will be more than one impact player at that pick.
