Spielman never ceases to disappoint in FA, but being a glutton for punishment I was just checking out PFF's best available free agents list and their prediction as to what each player will get paid. 5 mid-tier players stood out:

Keanu Neal (S) - 2 yr, $10mil
Mackenzie Alexander - 2 yr, $6 mil
Gabe Jackson (G) - 2 yr, $10mil

total - $13mil per year

Keelan Cole (WR) - 2 yr, $11mil
Carlos Dunlap (DE) - 1 yr, $9mil

total - $14mil per year

PFF is just making an educated guess, but it look like $12mil could secure 2 or 3 of these players. Just sayin'....

Get Gabe Jackson!

I think we need a CB too but I'm not that excited about Mac...

According to Dan Patrick, Bears offered SEA three 1sts, a third and two starters for Wilson.

Seattle is stupid for not taking that one.

not sure about that. If you don't have a QB, you don't have anything.

I would give up the next 10 first round picks for Mahomes.

That is a boatload....Should have pulled the trigger. Draft one the next three years with the pick....

Just draft another one is a lot more complicated than it sounds. Especially when the picks they get from Chicago don't figure to be very high.

The Vikings last 6 1st rounders:
Jefferson
Gladney
Bradbury
Hughes
Treadwell
Waynes

Give me the HOF QB.

2 starters and 3 extra first round picks? Use them to move up and draft one.

You can draft lots of QB's early in draft. How many end up as good as Wilson?

The only QB's currently in the NFL I would want before Wilson would be Rodgers, Mahomes, and Brady.

Good luck with that.

Like I said, if the Vikings could trade their next 10 first round picks for Mahomes I would do it and be 150% confident it was the right move and the smart move. Miami, NY Jets, and the Vikings, and many other teams have had a lot more than 10 chances to draft their QB and have failed miserably.

It isn't that easy. Seattle knows this and they are not going to give him up.

Houston knows it, it's why they are dragging their feet.

Exactly. Heck, it costs multiple first rounders just to move up in the draft so that you get to take a crap-shoot pick. Wilson is a proven commodity.

Exactly. The failure rate for 1st rounder QBs is very high. Even higher if your criteria is Hall of fame quality.

For me it's only Mahomes due to age.

little early for me to put him in that class. going to need a little more than one playoff win. I will say him and Watson would be in the next grouping. Wilson won 1 super bowl and should have won another. Allen has one playoff win, hell Cousins as that.

I've read a few very positive reports about our signing of Tomlinson. We got pretty stout in the middle of the line, which was a big weakness last season.

42 touchdown passes, 10 interceptions. Nine rushing scores. Led his team to the AFC title game. Had one major weapon. I need to see no more. That kid is freakishly talented.

I was a doubter... he made me believe last year... so young too.... I'd take him maybe above Rodgers at this point too.

There was this one guy back in 1995 who put up similar (era adjusted) numbers 32 TDs, 12 INTs, 4338 yards. Scott Mitchell. So I'll wait a year or 2 before anointing Josh Allen.

Forgive me please, but what does "no split" mean?

That we can only line him up in the slot, "no split" ting him out?

Raiders are trading C Rodney Hudson and 7th-round pick to Arizona for a 3rd-round pick, per sources.

Maybe no signing bonus? Just money "if" he makes the team?

With between Weatherly and now Tomlinson, we have to have the most intelligent defensive line in the NFL.
