It would not shock me for the Wilfs to hire a HC before a GM...

Do you think Pederson would be a good coach for us?

Probably. Innovative offensive guy. Won a SB with a backup QB. Seems like his issues were with management and not players.

I wouldn’t be upset if he ended up with the Vikes. He’s a proven product and has a good mind for offense.

The Bears should hire Frazier, and let us decide on Pederson :) Traditionally one would hire a GM first and let them hire the coach. However, both jobs are typically tied together performance wise with how their drafts, free-agents and player development translate to wins and losses. As long as the Vikes can hire a cohesive pair, I'm cool with whatever order they need to go. If their wish list of coaches is short then they may need to hire that person first as there are more teams looking for HCs than GMs.

No offense to LF, but I have a $1 saying Frazier isn't a head coach next season.

No teams moved the ball down the field faster against us, especially at the end of the game, than the ones Frazier coached again ...

- edit: I was going to fix that sentence but I think you know what I mean

ESPN article on HC interviews:

Tannenbaum was so thorough that he sometimes questioned the limo drivers who transported the candidates, with the hope of picking up a useful nugget. He had a knack for it; he hired three head coaches who made the playoffs in their first season.

"You want someone to come in and, in a very meaningful way, be your CEO," said Tannenbaum, now an ESPN analyst. "They're coming in as the most important person in your organization. Regardless of the structure of your football team, the most important person you're going to hire -- outside of the QB -- is your head coach. They have the most impact on the outcome, and they are by far the most important in terms of how everything is handled."

He looked like a deer in the headlights, completely in over his head. His answer to every question was "we need to look at the tape..." In the NFL you need to adjust a hell of a lot quicker than that.

Poach the defensive coordinator away from an offensive pass happy team? the coordinator that sucked as a head coach?

Go ahead and sell that to a fan base.

void years...could save us $25m in 2022....

we could restructure cousins' contract to 'cap hit' something like - $20m/'22, $14m/'23 (void), $14m/'24 (void)....

he doesn't actually play in 2023 or 2024, but the cap hit is in effect - plus we give him an extra $3m over the life of the deal...we did this with barr's last deal....

Panthers are bringing in Klint Kubiak to interview for OC!

That would set up an excellent landing spot for Cousins...

Wow!

I was surprised to see Leslie get an interview but this is shocking. Klint isn't even ready to coordinate a top college program, let alone another NFL team.

Hope they hire him and trade a 1st rounder for Cousins.

I agree. either find a way to trade him or just bite the bullet and suffer the one more year and the egregious cap hit.

No more Cousins extensions with guaranteed money.

I would take Klint over Frazier. Rather take a risk on potential vs Frazier track record of awfulness.

I don't know anything about Moore, other than he was a qb at Boise State. He seems too young to be a head coach.

They would be hoping for a Mike Tomlin scenario with Moore.

Pretty interesting analysis (to me anyway) of Kirk Cousins by Sage Rosenfels. Is it as obvious as he makes it seem?

I swear when KFC up-periscopes from center to "audible", his play "B" is just the reverse of play "A", which in the case of a run up the middle, is the same play.
