It sounds like ISM fell behind Nailor even.

Oh for the love of God …

That was insidiously clever. Change course and make me feel like a bumbling ass for getting testy.

Well played. I’ll gird my loins for the next time.

No you won't. You're posts have shades of Eric Kotwitz (sp?) who would get into a frenzy... then he'd always blame it on a coffee high

I see we got rid of Ish. He was a subpar punt returner and didn't get along with many in the locker room.

Don't get too excited yet Marty:

Chris Tomasson
@christomasson
The #Vikings are seeking a quarterback for the practice squad. Free agent Kyle Sloter, who had two Minnesota stints under former coach Mike Zimmer, said he hasn't heard anything from the Vikings but says, "I would obviously be open to coming back if they called."

Is Todd Bouman available too?

I am optimistic with KOC and Kwesi, but I see an 0-2 start as being likely.

GB and at Philly.

3-3 at the bye, if they can win at N.O. I think they will beat Detroit and Chicago, and lose at Miami.

Why do you expect freaking Pukers without Adams to beat us at home?
You must be a Puker fan.

ZED and Hunter will prove you wrong. Return of the Purple people eaters against GB and a Reagor PR for a 2-0 start.

Absolutely.

Jalen Reagor did in the offseason; said he would love to be on the Vikings.

Many times players give a little extra against their former teams, so ZED should play well the first week, and Reagor the 2nd week, I just wonder if it will be enough.

Kirk hasn't been tearing it up on the Vikes #1 defense, so I expect a slow start against the Packers, who have more continuity on defense than the Vikings. Packers probably edge the Vikes, I like the under in this one.

The Vikings 2ndary will really get tested in week 2 at Philly, their #1 and #2 WRs will probably be too much for the Vikes. A shootout where the Eagles prevail.

0-2 start I say.

Kirk's been tearing it up on the Vikings #1 defense and will tear it up against the Pukers defense. Without his superstar OL Rodgers will be running for his life.
Who are these great Iggles WRs? Even if they're great it won't matter much with Hurts so bad trying to throw to them. Vikings win both easy.

Not happy about IMS being cut.. but..

If he is a locker room cancer.. so be it..

Dude was fast and had decent hands.. willing to go fight for a ball.. but if he ****ing with Jefferson and other attitude issues..

I’m willing to let him go…

Reluctantly..

And if those reports were false?

Connor Leatch@Athlete_Leatch
Just got off the phone with recently waived #Vikings WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette’s agent.

Sounds like the coaches believed his punt returning wasn’t up to par, and there was some tension in the locker room after he told rookie CB Andrew Booth “sleep with both eyes open, b*tch.”

That statement has been proven to be false.

I want Sgt. Sloter to be our 3rd QB.

Why did he say specifically the Vikings? That is just weird.

I didn't hear that one. I guess Everson Griffen asked in and that worked ... for awhile

I know nothing of JR but I can see being motivated to go to a team with a guy on it that I was drafted one ahead of and his career is going great and mine not so much. And I think these guys like our WR coach.

Who knows.

Yeah I thought about that very thing you said. That's probably the best answer but it still seems a little weird.

I think the bolded is an oft-neglected point. They didn't dump ISM in favor of Nailor without talking to McCardell, who has worked with ISM since he was drafted. They likely have established that Nailor has something or some things they like better than ISM that give him a higher ceiling; they wouldn't just dump ISM because the last regime picked him. He clearly had every opportunity to make himself worth keeping over Nailor, and McCardell and the others didnt' see it.

Phil, with regards to Sloter, it's too late to win any pre-season games.

If he's not claimed we can do that. I expect him to be claimed. Claims I think are already in for today.

Reagor thought his numbers would have been a lot better, had he been working with Kirk, when comparing to Jefferson. So in a way, he was pining to be a Viking, or asking the universe for it to happen, and it DID !

KGA, I read that Kirk was struggling with the first team defense, but it was said to be because defenses are usually ahead of offenses this time of year.

I think a passing game is 80% QB/20% WR, so I don't think Erin will miss Adams so much. And I may be trying reverse psychology, it has worked before, hope it still works, despite being called out.
