I'm glad that a decision was made to have the teams return to the locker rooms. There is no reason that fans in the stands or watching tv need to see the grieving.

I may be overblowing this, and time heals all wounds, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Buffalo just forfeits the game and has a serious discussion if they want to participate in the remainder of the season

I wonder how the league will handle the playoff seeding being it's looking like the game simply won't be played? Not that it is of much importance at this time.

Of course I'm curious...

Everyone to a person...saying and doing the right thing. About the game not being bigger etc.

But what about the injured party? Would any player if asked to project how'd they'd want things to go say stop everything and think of me or wish his team to carry on?

I'm not sure how you could even think of playing football after that.

How do you focus on the game? And you just can not safely or effectively play football if you aren't dialed in.

I had a moment last night where I though to myself, if they keep this game going I may never watch football again. I think the NFL would have lost a lot of fans permanently had they opted to continue.

Is there financial repercussions for not continuing (playoff scenarios, etc...)? Sure there is, for the individual teams. But not as big as the ones if they do decide to continue.

The NFL will always be driven by money. They will come out with some sort of melodramatic statement about human life being more important than football...blah blah blah this week. The bottom line is, they made a financial decision and had no choice IMO.

When Joe Buck said they had 5 minutes to “warm up”, I just about lost it. Troy Vincent said no one from the league office told them that

Not sure Buf has to forfeit. The league postponed the game.

I could see them not wanting to continuing the season. But in the end I think they know that Damar wouldn't want that and they continue on in his honor.

It's still plenty of importance.

Wow.

He had a 2500.00 goal when he set this up. It's currently over 4.6M:

------------

**UPDATE: This fundraiser was initially established to support a toy drive for Damar’s community, sponsored by the Chasing M’s Foundation.

However, it has received renewed support in light of Damar’s current battle and we can’t thank all of you enough. Your generosity and compassion mean the world to us.

If you would like to show your support and contribute to Damar’s community initiatives and his current fight, this is the place to do so. This is the only current fund that is being used by the Hamlin Family.

Again, thank you for your thoughts, prayers and generous support during this time.

Damar created The Chasing M’s Foundation to use as a vehicle to bring lasting impact to his community. The foundation supports toy drives, back-to-school drives, kids camps, and more. UPDATE**

As I embark on my journey to the NFL, I will never forget where I come from and I am committed to using my platform to positively impact the community that raised me. I created The Chasing M's Foundation as a vehicle that will allow me to deliver that impact, and the first program is the 2020 Community Toy Drive.

This campaign gives you the opportunity to contribute to our first initiative and positively impact children who have been hardest hit by the pandemic. 100% of the funds raised will go toward the purchase of toys for kids in need. The time to act is now, as we will be distributing toys on December 22nd from 3:30 to 5:30 PM from Kelly and Nina's Daycare Center at 800 Russellwood Ave., McKees Rocks, PA 15136.

If you are not able to contribute monetarily, you can support this initiative in other ways. We are accepting donated toys at the Daycare Center or simply spread the word by sharing this fundraiser on your social channels.

Thank you so much for supporting me on and off the field. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with you to help make the holiday season a little brighter for the kids in our community.

Damar Hamlin

I was thinking along the lines of them being under tremendous physical and mental stress the next few days. They could just say we forfeit our last 2 games. Grieve as needed as say tell us where we need to be in 2 weeks

He's still alive!

Have teams ever taken weeks off when someone got paralyzed?

The league turned upside down with major playoff implications?

I'd like to think we are evolving as a species and that old precedence's no longer dictate how we handle similar situations.

Looks like we will see if Udoh can hold down the fort at his more natural position RT.

I don't recall him making any mistakes but I kind of was half heartedly watching.

No great options but Brandel and Bradbury may be back. I doubt they want to move Cleveland to RT. Reed may be better at Center with a week of practice but that isn't great either.

Really? I can't help but think, generally speaking, as a "species" we're getting more and more ass backwards every day. You couldn't pay me enough go back to being 20 years-old.

If KC and Buffalo win their games next Sunday, then KC is 14-3, and Buffalo is 13-3.

I would take 20 years old physically, but I much prefer my mental and financial state of 2005..

I sure as hell would not want to repeat my cluelessness from July of 1977, making the same FD up choices…

@WillRagatz
Brian O'Neill suffered a partially torn Achilles on Sunday, per
@RapSheet
. He's out for the season. The Vikings will move forward with Oli Udoh at right tackle.

KOC should rest the starters, it would be better to play the Giants than the Packers in round 1, and besides that, it's not likely SF loses at home to Arizona.

We aren't winning the Super Bowl and neither are the Fudge so I could care less who plays/rests.
