Kirk to SF still a possibility:

Not only is there no chance but just the fact that you and I are are commenting on it makes us imbeciles.

Apparently it was discussed at the combine (per reports). SF is shopping Lance so something could develop most likely during the draft. It would be a welcomed surprise.

Guess I'm imbecile #3

Given the recent medical update by KOC on Cook’s ‘excellent progress’ … I assume that means we are pining for a draft trade, long shot that it would be.

My guess is "targeted articles to generate clicks". Content needs to be created for consumption.

It's like 24/7/365 Cable News. At some point "Opinions" become the news which generates more "Opinions" which becomes the next news.

"Less is More" is how I approach almost all "news media" of any type.

Any rumor you hear between now and the draft is 99.999999999% bullshit.

I will only care if we DO trade Cousins.

I will only care if we DO trade Cook.

Rumors right now are just diversions.

We start at 90 remember....you cut Jalen and it is all dead cap---may as well run him thru TC and see if you can develop him.

I like Ron's take on the news - but pay attention less what makes me happiest. Although I can't stay away from the bs on Twitter.

hst, I think Rick is a little more reliable than the source of the Cousins to SF site:

Supposedly the Cook trade is already set to go just waiting for him to pass a physical after his recovery from surgery. That's per skolbros on twitter. He has proven to be reliable.

Its impossible NOT to rumor monger this time of year, its such a vacuum.

I like to think of this phase, in terms of real information that you can process, like the time between gestation and birth. Not much there sticks with you for very long. Nor do you want it to.

How much are you paying Lamar?
Asking for an imbecile friend...

Don't know that Vikes get any further with Lamar if he cap straps us as well.

He'd be fun to watch... but he is a guy I want on a rookie deal... not so much on the Deshaun Watson deal.

vegas odds for our 1st pick....

Via a mixture of sportsbooks odds, with the NFL draft about three weeks away, these are favorites to end up with the Vikings at the end of the month (from Round 1).

WR Jordan Addison = +350
WR Zay Flowers = +375
CB Deonte Banks = +500
QB Hendon Hooker = +600
WR Quentin Johnson = +700
CB Cam Smith = +850
CB Joey Porter Jr. = +1000
QB Will Levis = +1000
RB Bijan Robinson = +1500
WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba = +2000
QB Anthony Richardson = +5000

Lamar = a QB who's best year was 4 seasons ago. Hasn't been able to hardly play in any games in December and January the last two years. Wants 5 years fully guaranteed.

Lol, I am no Cousins fan but he beats Lamar in all those categories.

personally, I am so fed up with cousins and his gutless, brainless, bailout, bullshit that i'm willing to accept almost anyone as a replacement...i have zero respect for the guy - I can't help it; it's just where i'm at right now....

Cousins is just slow to see things. I see a 3% chance of winning the Super Bowl with him.

Lamar is quicker, with the KOC system, JJ, Hock, and maybe another weapon at WR, could be the ticket. I see an 8% chance of winning a Super Bowl with LJ.

Caleb Williams, that is another story, and too far into the future.

I agree Lamar is over-rated … although when he’s on the field anybody without a bias would acknowledge he gives you a much better competitive chance than Cousins. (if you are talking about game in and game out against average teams … no contest, Cousins wins hands down).

Besides no longer playing to the standard of 2019, the injury issues make a blockbuster contract a huge risk for a smart team in good cap shape … for a team like us that is strung out on dirty extensions for a couple of years with two critical pieces (JJ & Darrisaw) closing in … there is no path for Jackson.

Its tempting … if he’s healthy for one out of the next three seasons, you get a small but better window you wont get with Cousins but what does the roster look like under an even more ridiculous contract?

If we can discipline ourselves from focusing our assets on TEs and 4-3 DEs in a 3-4 system and actually draft a promising QB … which might take more than one try … we might find our way to a longer term, more well-rounded solution. Might.

I would give Lamar 3 years fully guaranteed and hope to get 1 complete season out of him.

5 years is franchise suicide IMO.

I agree, but I don't think anyone is giving him five years guaranteed, so at three years, we should be in the realm of an acceptable deal....

just do it kwesi!!!...no more cousins suffering....
