Instead of watching the Twins play, we sat in the stands in St. Paul and watched the Saints. At least they won. A two run homer by Joey Gallo helped, although earlier in the game he made the third out by striking out while bases were loaded.

Saints games are always fun, and it was a beautiful day to be at a ballpark. Our seats were just adjacent to home plate, and twelve rows up from the field. This is Gallo and Wallner.

Great article. And we decided it was a good idea to get rid of the guy.

Brass Tacks Brad....how many Twins games have you watched this year versus how many did you watch last year?

Effing Rocco and killing the bullpen

3 guys weren't available today. SMH

And he goes to the least dependable.

Its a real sickness.

I swear Rocco is a puppet on a string for the Falvinr idiots.

This organization is so bad on so many levels it's frightening.

The manager has no clue how to use his lineup, especially the pitchers. He doesn't get that when you are getting few baserunners you have to do things to manufacture runs. He's trying to be everyone's friend. He's surrounded by assistants who are dumber than he is. I never thought I could miss Gardy, Andy and Ulcer.

The people in charge of scouting and evaluating talent absolutely stink at it. In 6 drafts they have produced next to nothing. I never thought I would miss Deron Johnson and his incompetent scouting staff.

The dopes in charge of hiring these people and bringing talent into the lineup have failed miserably. They have constantly let go of people they should keep and extended players who should be gotten rid of. Their failure to bring in talent, good scouts, people who develop talent and people who can coach at the major league level has created this non ending cycle of trading away assets to get the players they failed to draft and develop. Then sell off veterans to replace the prospects they lost. I never thought I would miss Terry Ryan and Billy Smith.

Gotta love the extension for Pagan.
He sucked last season.
He continues to suck this season.
Falvine wanted consistency from the pen and they got it in Pagan.

I really need to know

WHEN IS EMILIO PA-GONE?

I am betting Brad has not watched more than 2-3 Twins games this year or last.....

In the category of "They Sure Know how to Pick Them". Fangraphs compiled a list of 1,133 pitchers who have pitched in relief since the start of the 2021 season. In the category of "win probability added" Emilio Pagan comes in at 1,128. He is followed by former Falvine signed Trevor Megill at 1,130. Who is dead last you ask? The one and only Alex Colome at 1,133.

Boy, they sure know how to pick relievers.

Kind of unrelated, but that would mean that in the last 2.4 seasons, each team has fielded 37+ different relief pitchers, on average.

Add Signing Vasquez to the list of "they sure know"

OBP 300 (yay)

SGL 261

last 30 days SLG is 204

that's worse than the year of Houston Jimenez

and a 3 year deal.

Really good to see Correa's bat is coming around. The Twins need the consistency he can provide. Over all really good AB for all in the 9th inning. They showed some major plate discipline against a great reliever in Williams. Julian looks a lot more settled in his latest recall. Two hits and a crucial walk in the 9th. And I have applaud a guy I ripped a couple of times this year; Michael A Taylor hit his 10th hr to start the 9th. His OPS is moving farther north of .700 (.739). I'd still like to see him on base more often, but his glove with that level of production (if he can sustain it) makes him a legitimate starting CF.

On the pitching side, Lopez turned in a quality start. De Leon sucked ass, Winder with a pleasant surprise return. He is one of the few pitchers Falvine has drafted who has a chance to make it in the majors, aleit as a reliever and the starter we hoped for (rinse and repeat).

Great pitching today. Jax has been very good as of late. Correa continues to come up with some big hits.

Correa hitting .333 in the past week. OBP .407, SLG .875

team leader in hits and rbi's

Jax last 10 appearances scoreless 9.2IP 12 Ks
Like Duran, using a fastball instead of 99% sliders
Jax fastball hit 98 today, Duran several 103

Chris Williams hit 5 homers in 8 at bats over T/W w/Saints
