Watched my 1st full game of the season yesterday. 1st anything since the 1st half week one.

Mostly emotionless, though a few things made me mad. Like getting screwed on 3 missed penalties on one play at the most critical time.

This team is as below par equal to how above par they were last year.

This team doesn’t seem together. No identity. So far to go. I should be more connected to them bc they’re just like my life.

f Chicago has the #1 pick they’re drafting Caleb and ending the Fields experiment.

Not if Fields shows potential. He has looked decent the last 2 weeks, and they have a soft schedule.

Carolina will probably get the 1st pick for the Bears.

We are not good but we are not the worst team. Probably not in the top three.

We have no chance of landing Caleb.

IMO not only are Kwesi and Kevin not savy enough to Belichick some assets while they still have value, they are still locked into their fake success from last year … still up to their ears in their master plan.

If anything, I see them trading a 4th or 5th rounder at the deadline when we’re 2-6 … desperately trying to get to 3-6.

Theres no quit in these guys … which is a wonderful and necessary attribute … unless all you’re doing is shooting yourself in the foot.

Clueless GM and a little boy coach. I don't see it ever working. But hey I'm wrong quite a bit.

This franchise isn’t lucky enough to land the #1 prospect/projected superstar.

The question is, can this group identify a franchise QB that is destined to come out of this class not named Caleb?

How about some reckless speculation

I don’t know what’s happened to Dak, but he’s broken
Jerry wants to win now. This is Dallas’ window
Would it work money wise to send Hunter+Cousins to Dallas for Dak and their 1st and 2nd round picks?

We can still take our QBOTF next year

I don't care if the money makes sence. I don't want DAK.

He's not all he's hyped up to be. When he went down for several games last year the Cowboys kept cooking. He's a major factor in many of their losses.

No thanks.

Just give us draft picks.

I had other things I needed to attend to, so I didn't actually see the game.

But here's what I have to say.

Next week to go to Chicago where we never play well. JJ has a hamstring injury which may keep him out. If JJ doesn't go, and we predictably play poorly as we've done all year and always do in Chicago, we will probably lose. Then we have San Fran the next week...we will likely be 1-6 going into Packer week. Playing at Lambeau with our inconsistent, disorganized, and uninspired play will almost assuredly end in a loss.

We should be in Shopping players mode RIGHT NOW. Not waiting to see how the next couple weeks go. We have an asset or two that can help get us some draft capital. Make some trades...blow it up a bit, take the hit now and really rebuild this thing.

Don't wait. cut bait.

Justin fields is a better QB..

We will not win at Soldier field, and San Francisco will give cousins a wedgie and take the team lunch money.

Kirk is a better pure passer, but Fields has the edge in other areas. Fields ceiling is also much higher, Kirk has capped out all his ability and will see a decline in his arm the next couple years.

Kirk also plays at least half his games in a dome, and has much better weapons. Kirk has always had some of the best weapons in the league. Also getting so many dome games is big advantage

This isn't all about Kirk v. Justin. Contrary to popular opinion, it takes more than a QB to win a game. 8 billion people on the planet and there's less than a handful that can do it with little supporting cast.

- was it all on Kirk v. the best QB on the planet yesterday? Sounds like to be between some crucial calls and dropped passes Kirk did enough -- of course you cant say that with Viking losses

I was there the last two games. Or was it 2 out of 3. Anyway, One horrible game and one win. The home game they recently lost v. Chicago (2 years ago?) was as bad as it gets.

So to end last season, Cousins does his infamous check down to end the game The other week he passes when he should have simply clocked the ball. This week he holds onto the ball when he should have passed it to end the game. He's a robotic game manager who absolutely loses it when the game is on the line.

It is hard to believe that Cousins is as dumb as he is.

You have to know that is the last play of the game; if you feel someone grabbing you - JUST TOSS THE FREAKIN BALL UP IN THE AIR AND PRAY FOR A FLAG!

Getting sacked to end the game is Cousins go to move.

He seems like a smart guy off the field. He seems very unaware of situations on it.

What gives you the impression that he’s a smart guy off the field? He seems pretty dull to me.

He does seem quirky for sure. Do you really think he's stupid?

Practicing saying the plays out loud was telling to me.

Very robotic seemingly. I'll take your word for it David. You're a lot closer to the situation than I.

That’s just from the show Quarterback.

This is great stuff! Tough to accept a nice guy that's interested in doing things the right way in life, I guess.

re: "saying the plays out loud" ... It's a memory technique. Say it, hear it, repeat it, repetition, etc, etc. It was a suggestion he bought into. What's crazy is what he's doing is "smart." But he looks like a geek to us, so ....

At the Iowa Field House years ago I saw a pie chart of the percentages of how much the different techniques help us remember what your memorizing. Repeating out loud and hearing it were big. Many times I wish I would have got a copy of that chart, like now.

I have no qualm with his desire to improve himself and I believe it’s a great technique. Where I’m at, is that he should be beyond that at this point. It’s year eleven or twelve for this guy. He’s still on a very basic and rudimentary level of preparation. It shows in the game when things get complicated.

Ezra Cleveland: 6th (of 67 guards)

In fact, for most people, 'just win baby' is a mantra for 'doing whatever it takes.'

For nice guy Cousins, its just a reminder.

Even if you have to hurt someone's feelings.

Not only is KOC bad at clock management/getting plays in quickly, he’s doing poorly with training wheels on, considering he has assistants whose job it is to keep things in check. How this somehow looks worse when they had all off season to look at their mistakes last year is not a good look for this large but poorly functioning group.
