I will throw up if Johnson ends up in Philadelphia. How on earth can keep stacking talent.

Hurts on the rookie deal. Even still I wonder myself.

No Matter if Dobbs works out, it will be worth the trade if they get rid of Mannion. How on earth is he on our roster. He is so, so terrible.

My guess is Mullens isn't close to being ready, so its likely a battle between Hall and Dobbs.

I'd expect Hall to get the start Sunday, but if Dobbs looks good in practice, there may be a quick hook.

I've been beating that horse for a while. It's downright incompetent.

With the NFL Trade Deadline less than two hours away, the Minnesota Vikings have swung their second trade of the day.

After acquiring quarterback Joshua Dobbs from the Arizona Cardinals, Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Vikings are now sending guard Ezra Cleveland to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a Day 3 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

UPDATE: The compensation for Cleveland is reportedly a sixth-round pick, which means the Vikings essentially got the pick back that they sent to Arizona in the Dobbs trade.

I believe it was the last year of his deal, so probably was another factor in decision.

I like the Dobbs trade okay. I would like to see Hall get a legit shot as a starter to see what we've got (like how we should have done w/ Mond).

Not at all but he wasn't very good either.

Teams are trying to get Hicks and Hunter from the Vikes apparently....

Why not Tanner Morgan?

Who's that?

https://www.totalprosports.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings-tanner-morgan-qb-released/

Vikes just released him 3 weeks ago. He should know the playbook.

Not sure he was given our playbook. They brought him in to mimic a running qb on the scout team and released him.

Why would they choose Tanner "leadfoot" Morgan to mimic a running QB?

The guy whose season high for rushing yards is 55 was brought in to mimic a running QB?

Bill must know.

It seems like a trade for trade's sake. The value was not good and if Risner or Ingram get banged up, we're thin inside.

Dobbs was acquired as the backup for the rest of this season and to compete with Hall for starting QB next season.

I like the trade.

Dobbs has a quick release and can make you pay with his legs.

Rooting for Hall but if he’s not ready I think it’ll be like David said - probably not much if any drop off with a fresh new signal caller.

Let’s make a push for the playoffs!

I guarantee that Kirk Cousins will act as a QB coach for both Hall and Dobbs, from the sidelines, in a boot. That should help.

Dobbs has also been playing behind, perhaps, the worst O-Line in the NFL in Arizona.

Agreed. My expectations are he can be at least a very good backup. No idea how much of Hall we will see now.

Just a guess but if Hall shows anything this weekend we won't see Dobbs unless he (Hall) falls on his face.

Not great value for a 2020 2nd round pick...

Esp considering he was playing pretty good this year. At least according to PFF.

Again, I think this is a case where PFF falls on their faces.

Our line appears to have gotten much better the minute Ezra sat down.
