-Anytime he interjects God into a remark about his upcoming contract, watch out

Hey, God works in mysterious ways

-Dudes a pro at that stuff

And we've got people around here thinking he's stupid bc he used the recorder on his phone to learn plays. You said it yourself, O'Connell's quoting War and Peace into that microphone

You don't have to be smart to demand a fully guaranteed, high-dollar contact. You just have to feel entitled.

I'm shocked that the NFLPA hasn't found a leader who can get guaranteed contracts for the players like they have in MLB and NBA.

They can't get contract structures like MLB. There is no salary cap and revenue sharing in baseball like there is in the NFL.

NFL is the best league for the fans. Salary cap, can't just try to buy championship. Everyone has same rules.

Players, not so much. They have shortest careers and just partial guarantees.

NBA and MLB have luxury tax but a big TV contract or an obscenely wealthy Owner takes care of that.

“A lot of people are saying” Kwesi had Kevin forced on him and that he’s eager to get Harbough, the guy he wanted all along, as his HC. Kwesi wants to ditch Cousins, trade JJ, and trade up to the 2nd pick.

Also, an unknown Canadian man who frequents a football chat site regularly is being sought out as the new Game Management/Offense Quality Control Coordinator.

I’m in a really bad place right now..

Dead of winter..

Vikings in full suck ass mode for at least 6 years and looking like 2-3 more unless an epiphany happens in the coaching offices and management suites..

Fn High of 3 degrees below zero. Later this week..

I hate the cold..

Not a fan of snow..

The political landscape is a clown show on both sides..

I’m stressed…

At least this new Canadian guy @ quality control brings a glimmer of hope…

If only he had complete immunity…..

lol..

Hang in there Dan. Hopefully we are a few short months away from a shiny new QB.

Draft Penix and O'Neill's salary is then commensurate with his importance. Darrisaw is going to get a big contract, but hopefully the 'best tackle next to Trent William' talk has gone away and the team can save several million in cap. He won't be the high-dollar blind side protector but will still have to take on premium pass rushers.

I seriously doubt it.

If that were true that makes Kwesi the biggest ass kissing sycophantic calculating fake in the universe. I constantly bust on his googoo eyed interactions with Kevin … in jest. If true, that would be a new level of two-facedness.

Lol. And that was just medium for my usual fly-off-the-handle over-reaction. I’ll spice it up next time.

I feel that if they’re not gearing up for a trade up and they intend on drafting Penix that it’s going to include a 2 year extension for Cousins.

I dislike that thought on a number of levels.

My best guess is that they give Cousins a 3 year deal, 2 guaranteed, and take the best D guy on the board at 11 (or trade down a couple to recoup the 3rd and still take BPA at D).

Don't like it, not my plan but....

Any plan that includes extending KFC, for any amount, or length of time, is a non-starter with me..

I’ve seen the inside of that rat hole and it is a sewer of disaster and cap hell..

NFW..

I could see Kwesi trading down about 10 spots, and then picking Nix.

If the Vikings aren't trading up for a QB, I am hoping they consider drafting a top CB.

WR would be ok, but only if he has good size.

So as he cleaned out his locker Monday following the end of the team's season, and with the likelihood that he could be the best quarterback available on the 2024 free agent market, Cousins was asked a question: Would he embrace a hometown discount if that's ultimately what the Vikings seek?

"That's a great question and one I've thought about pretty much my whole 12 years," Cousins said. "I do think it's important to be aware of. I think that God has blessed me financially beyond my wildest dreams. So at this stage in my career, the dollars are really not what it's about."

Still looking for a straight answer to a simple question. Anytime he interjects God into a remark about his upcoming contract, watch out.

I think he did answer it. He said he's been blessed financially so the money isn't the most important issue with respect to where he would like to play next year. Having said that, I don't want the team to resign him.

Let's be honest. Penix played like asswater.

Agreed. That was easily the worst that I've personally seen him play. Gives me some pause over whether to draft him but there is a lot of time for the team to do it's due diligence on all QB alternatives.

Might as well get used to the idea of trading up to #2 for Daniels. I’m willing it into existence.
