And down goes Philly!

GB, SF, Det, TB

Hate Cousins or hate him even more, it would of been nice to see this play out. What a hs wasted year.

We saw it play out. Now we have Cousins coming off an Achilles. I hope we have a plan going forward.

Of course we do. But only one plan is going to work. Two plans will work if you're just happy getting there.

Might have had something. Too bad Cousins allowed himself to be injured.

I think we would have looked exactly as bad, or worse than Dallas or Philly..

Waffle stomped in the first round due to pearl clutching head coach, and NRPT QB and a decimated defense.

Having a plan doesn’t mean anything, if its not a good plan.

I see different faces but this team is not that much competitively different from the 8-9 team three years ago. With Cousins much less without.

Our Competive Rebuild has us circling the drain after two years.

Time to move on from a modified spielmanesque version to something new and different.

I should have clarified. Yeah their plan is probably more of the same. Trade back and get nothing for it. Then draft a complete bum. I sure hope they have something competent.

If we replayed the season over 5 times with a healthy Cousins:

We’d make the playoffs all 5 times.
Advance into the Divisional round 4 times.
Make the NFCCG 3 times.
Make the SB twice.
Win it once.

Thats how I read your post … hope we have a plan to move forward … not just continue down the same path.

My response was to Ricky’s emphatic ‘ofcourse’ in ‘we have a plan.’

Its going to get interesting starting with the Cousins decision. I would love to see Kwesi and Kevin try something different.

That's right. Seeing how it would have played out with Cousins this year, or next year, or the year after is impossible. But given the fact that Cousins has never strung two playoff wins together, my money would have been on a playoff failure, and depending on the odds, another Cousins choke job.

Not sure what new and different could be but like the article in the link DL provided said, starting a rebuild in year 3 of a GMs tenure is not the usual MO.

The most likely outcome is the team bounces along the trail of mediocrity. THAT is the product of any vision or strategic plan they may have had. It's right in front of everyone to see!

Peeling back the onion, the problem is the Wilfs hired someone who could be pushed around, apparently by junior bro. owner Mark Wilf. A real GM with guts and a real record of success would have laughed in their meddling face during the interview.

It's also quite possible Kwesi continues to whiff in the draft and his 4th year is a lame duck season.

I don't fault him too much for free agent misses or a lack of an influx of talent because he had to deal with an upside down cap situation. But contracts like $13 million for Davenport, of which $7 million in dead cap counts against the upcoming cap? Really? I think that had Flores written all over it. If so, keep Flores away from the available FA list.

My new working theory is; We fans, and by we I mean most of y’all, need to change (y)our ways.

The collective negativity towards the team and its fans keep this franchise down.

You have poop hearted fans/people like Bill cancelling out 10 pure hearted people/fans with unwavering faith like myself.

So 9-8 ( cousins normal win %) would get us in the playoffs all 5 times out of the nfc north..

Are you assuming cousins wins out?

What AI fed that line to you?

Did it have KOC coaching and Zero injuries All season?

This past seasons team was not playoff caliber even with Mr. Efiocre.. why?

Coaching and injuries to ol, receivers , defense in general,. Playing mattison, untill he gets hurt..

So many reasons..

I don’t drink purple koolaid any more and my glasses are jaundiced yellow, and jaded green, depressing blue…

My pessimistic attitude is based on three things..

Coaching, first,
GM second..

And the possibility that KFC might be signed to any kind of extension..

KOC is a clueless play calling fool..
KAM is a word salad wishy washy draft moron
And KFC is the definition of mediocre.

JMO.

How about start by getting the cap in order and identifying a franchise qb. This team has a ways to go before dreams of a Super Bowl.
