That picture could make Daniels be the QB that takes a big slide on draft night.

Apparently KOC doesn't think much of Michael Penix Jr., unless it's a smokescreen:

Seriously, Todd?

Why sour on Daniels?

What has McCarthy done to show he is worthy of even being in the top 4?

Jason McCourty was saying on Good Morning Football to pretend you are a defensive guy that just got the ball back for your team and there's less than a minute left and you need a TD to win the game, how do you feel with these QB's?

I wouldn't feel so good with McCarthy or Nix...

McCarthy hasn't done anything, but apparently he interviews well and had a good pro day

Nix almost never had to win it, they always played with a lead, so I don't know about comeback wins there

Penix could be the guy to put his team on his back and win, but I would feel especially good about the other three.

Williams, Daniels and Maye have all shown they can put a team on their back

Williams didn't have the supporting cast that Daniels has, but both have my trust in the clutch

Maye had a terrible team...he put the team on his back every game...sometimes it was a fail because he tried to do too much (at least he tried), but with our cast and the game on the line, I'm buying in on his ability to get it done

Daniels has a bursa sac issue. It comes and goes.

Chris…

I’m drawing from a thin pool and going by my gut and feel. That’s no substitute for knowledge and experience coming from yourself so know I respect your opinions.

I’m down on Daniels bc he refused to do anything at the combine and then looked flat at his pro day. Didn’t do much, didn’t put on any weight, and threw somewhat poorly. Plus my brain can’t wrap itself around that pic. It looks like his arm is spawning another arm lol.

I’m big on McCarthy bc I’m being sucked into the hype. It just feels like a great fit.

Doesn’t mean much. At the end of the day I’m super invested and excited and that means more to me than being right.

No matter who we draft I think we will be in better shape than 2023.

Kirk, bad back Mullens, and Hall was not were we wanted to be at any point last season.

Ben Goessling on Rand podcast: The other thing Im interested to see ... if they don't get a dancing partner for the trade, I don't think that will happen, I think they will make a big enough offer to move up and get their guy. 21:05

Then blah blah if they have to pick at 11 or 23 - no real name or clear idea here other than Peneix's name was verbalized

-- oh re odd man out if QB drafted: most likely Mullins - and I'm sure most here would prob agree with that

When I’m ranking my guys after Williams it’s not 123 it’s 1a 1b and 1c. I’ll be thrilled to add anyone of em to our team.

I don't mind the top 6 actually and I really don't have a favorite. I think they will be in a very good situation with our offense and that is a big key for development.

Daniels has a bursa sac issue. It comes and goes.

Well that picture is disturbing, and you combine that with the fear of a running QB getting hurt, and Daniels could be the one that takes a big fall in the 1st round.

Sports medicine physician Dr. Jesse Morse with The Osteopathic Center chimed in on social media to add context about the image:

“Jayden Daniels appears to be dealing with olecranon bursitis of his right throwing elbow,” he wrote. “This is an inflammation of the bursa, which is a sac that is usually empty and is there to protect the bone underneath. We have them in several joints including the elbow and the knee.”

He added: “These are VERY common, and more annoying than concerning. As long as they are not infected.”

I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but to be honest I don't know enough about this Bursa Sac thing to know if it will be a problem. Possibly.

I love the top 6 and believe we would be fortunate to have any one of them on our team. I do have them 1a-1b-1c-1d-1e-1f.

I have readily admitted my bias, as I have watched 100% of JJ's snaps at UMich - almost all of them in person.

Yes, they were a run-heavy offense. But those stats are misleading. He has all of the tools and has displayed them, especially when needed. Go look at the Rose Bowl tape, as an example. Shit, look at his stats from the MSU game last fall - LMAO!.

He has good pocket presence, scrambles well, goes through progressions maybe better than anyone in the draft, makes reads and adjustments at the LOS - just doesn't run the one play on the card the coach is holding up, has a big arm, leadership qualities are off the charts, smart, composed. When needed, the dude made the plays.

I would take Williams #1, too. I think McCarthy is the 2nd best. With that said, if we get Maye, I think that's OK, too. I wouldn't take Nix in Rd.1 and Penix only late in Rd. 1.

I like McCarthy a lot and I have softened my trade up stance to the point that I won't HATE it if we trade up and draft McCarthy using picks 11 and 23. I've heard that we should be able to get a little more back in that deal like a 3rd or 4th round pick.
As for Nix there is virtually nothing that he doesn't do well. If we don't get Williams/Daniels/McCarthy I would consider us fortunate to get Nix at 11 and somebody great, possibly Byron Murphy II at pick 23.

PS - I would not trade up to #2 to take JJ - too tall cotton.

PPS- I also would not take Nix at 11. I think you could get him at 23, easily.

PPPS - they need to identify their guy and get him. Don't try to get too cute and out-thinking all of the GMs, Kwesi. Go get our QBOTF!

Agreed that the cost of trading to 2 will cost too much
Broncos are all but a lock to take Nix at 12 if they haven't traded out of the slot. I will stake some of my stellar draft reputation on that.
What if they've identified their guy and it's McCarthy. You already said it's too tall cotton to get him.

If we don't trade up I'm all in on taking our QB at 11. There will be great IDL and CB prospects at 23, but the QBs might all be gone.

Michael Penix much more athletic than expected at Pro Day. 4.5 40 and 36.5 inch Vert. I don't get why with that athleticism he is considered very immobile as a QB.

LSU coach Brian Kelly on Jayden Daniels. “He's going to get the ball out to the playmakers and make plays for Washington.”

LOL. I hope they take him.

I go back and forth on Maye and JJ. They’re the 2 I want. I think they want Maye.
