Jets get Adams and Bills get Cooper.

Vikes maybe looking at DT, CB?

Bills are like, yeah we better get a WR too.

Kwesi has to be sky high with a wallet full of cap and unused credit cards. Ah bummer, his draft pick wallet is so light it's practically floating.

If Mike Williams is healthy I would take a flyer on him but there isn't any draft capital left.

WR is about the last position we should be trading for.

I would be ok replacing Sherfield....there is nothing left to trade with (like was mentioned by Bill and I). UFA or literally free would be the options.

Maybe Turner will get going. It took Will Anderson Jr. a while, with very similar stats over the first 5 games... a big game 1 then a tapering off.

Maybe he won't be injured much. But injuries are part of it. The NFL is littered with high draft picks who ended up as relative busts or outright busts because they couldn't stay on the field.

Maybe he's being eased in but the fact is Rip Van and Greenard are the starters.

Maybe he needs to gain strength. But he was at Alabama which probably has a better training regimen than a few pro teams.

Maybe he is a bust in the making.

I suppose Kwesi traded for #23 as ammo to move up for Caleb or JD or Maye. Once there was no movement, he was boxed in. He then doubled down to pick Dallas Turner, who was IMO a hell of a prospect at a premium position.

Williams (10 catches for 145 yards) has struggled to produce and could be the odd man out. On Monday night, he ran the wrong route on the Jets' final play, according to Rodgers. In his postgame news conference, Rodgers said Williams should've run a vertical route instead of breaking it off, and the result was an interception. It was the second straight game in which Rodgers' final pass was intercepted -- Williams was targeted on both.

No thanks!

Upgrading our 5th WR doesn't feel like a priority to me.

That wasn't about Mike 'Wrong Route' Williams nor WRs.

DT Dexter Lawrence II would almost be like adding an Aaron Donald to your lineup.

The Vikings will find a way to trade for Dexter Lawrence.

Vikings fans have daydreamed about Dexter Lawrence in purple via trade for a couple of weeks. But some hurdles stand in the way, rendering a would-be Lawrence trade basically moot.

1) The Giants’ front office and coaching staff must win now or risk termination in January. They can’t afford to trade Lawrence, arguably their best player.

2) New York is suddenly in the playoff hunt at 2-3. Teams don’t trade their best players while chasing the postseason.

3) The Giants would have to swallow $28 million in dead cap — just to trade their 26-year-old best player. Why the hell would they do that?

4) Lawrence is too young to sell, even in a theoretical fire sale.

I love this. He looked like our best back last year before he got hurt.

------------

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The NFL trade deadline is Nov. 5, but the Minnesota Vikings aren’t waiting that long to add to their roster after a 5-0 start.

The Vikings announced Tuesday they’ve acquired running back Cam Akers from the Houston Texans for a conditional 2025 draft pick. Akers had played in five games for the Texans this season and had 40 carries for 147 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well has four catches for 16 yards and a touchdown. Against the Vikings in Week 3, Akers had nine carries for 21 yards and one catch for eight yards.

The Vikings have made a trade for Cam Akers. Yes, again.

This time, the Vikings are sending a conditional 2026 sixth-round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for Akers and a conditional 2026 seventh-round pick. This is the second time in as many seasons that the Vikings have traded to acquire Akers’ services. Last September, they made exactly the same deal. . .same picks, same year, and everything else. . .with the Los Angeles Rams, though the conditions that Akers needed to meet for the pick swap to take place were not met.

I was a little disappointed the Vikings didn't keep Akers during the off season, I was surprised they didn't keep him, but figured he must have been too expensive, or were concerned about his injury.

Happy to see him back, loved his toughness, and he seemed pretty good at punching it in for 2 yard TDs when with the Rams.

With the Texans, Akers had:
2.3 yards per carry against the Vikings
4.1 yards per carry against not-the-Vikings

Probably not.

More like a lack of faith in Chandler and knowing Jones is prone to missing time.

Really happy about Akers.

Maybe we learned something from sticking way too long with Mattison. Sticking with Chandler, even as just the main back up, was annoying.

As with Nwangwu, instinct / some explosiveness over little instinct / superb 40 times any day.

Now if we could only pry ourselves loose from Ingram and Mullens …

All this time I kinda assumed Hockensen would roll in about the time Addison got his suspension

Maybe this was posted already … I havent been following closely but looks like the hearing got pushed to Dec (from Oct 7). So resolution after the season and any suspension next season. Probably.

About to go full throttle on offense.

sherfield is our only proven vet backup - they like him...no reason to mess with our receivers - best in the NFL....

I think he is a big improvement over Gaskin and with Chandler and Jones; depth is needed.

There will likely be more money wagered on Minnesota at home (and Hutchinson out), which means either the Lions will play better and be ahead in the 4th quarter, or the officials will help the Lions to make it likely they are ahead in the 4th quarter.

You might win betting on the Vikings, but probably only with a go ahead TD or FG on the Vikings last offensive drive.

Really interesting video by former nfl qb Colt McCoy highlighting Vikings defense and why it's so effective:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDhuR7pNilo

Taking my oldest to the game Sunday... hoping Vikings D can make life miserable for Goff...

p.s. Ivan Pace is amazing. Guy is playing like a 1st rounder... unbelievable he didn't get drafted.

This guy is right so far:

https://www.facebook.com/share/r/pUnHwvoZ5mDrtyGt/

He had the Vikings going 15-2, only losses to Jacksonville and the away game against Detroit, resting starters, and because the Vikings were getting tired of winning 😂.
