Maybe they weren't horrible calls, those along with Darnold's hand going forward on the play ruled a fumble, were biased calls to give Green Bay a shot at making it close, maybe even winning.

My concern with Darnold is it seems like his release isn't compact enough, or isn't quick enough, so when the other team brings heat, it seems like we'll see plenty of plays like the one that was ruled a fumble.

It seems like Mahomes, Herbert, Allen, Love and a few others have a more compact release. Am I just imagining this, or is it the truth ?

We played like a different team when we sniffed rare air. This team is really good, opportunistic , and lucky. We didn’t choke the game away but got away from where we were chasing the rare air.

I knew we weren't going to beat them 56 to 0 but I thought a 10 point win was probably going to happen. Once I saw it was 28 to 0 that is.

Still struggle mightily with 3rd and 4th and short. Things we can hopefully clean up.

Our weakness is our interior OL, which is why I believe.

I thought pass pro was generally really good today...

Wish we could get 3rd & 1 running yard a little easier though.

Watched the highlights. Just some dumb playcalls and terrible defensive positioning in the 2nd half. What a wild game!

It does us no good to peak in week 4. Keep it simmering!

If not for Love gifting away the game with a 3 interception bow, it could have been a massive choke job.

But it wasn't and at the end of the day it's a win.

As I said just get out of there with a W. Then get ready for a home game in London. So stupid.

The beginning of the season, I thought the Vikings would likely go 1-4 starting out, now I expect them to go 5-0.

Going into this last game, I thought the Vikings would beat Green Bay, in the past I usually assumed a loss in GB. I think the Vikings will beat the Jets.

I think they should beat the Jets but these London games are usually so sloppy. Going into the bye 5-0 would be so amazing.

It's nice to have the bye before facing Detroit, that might help.

The game at Chicago could end up being the Vikings 1st loss. It's the 3rd game of a 3 game road stretch. Right now, Jacksonville and Tennessee don't look all that great.

So 17-0 in the regular season ?

If not, where do you see their 1st loss ?

The game was never in doubt. It tightened up a lot and it shouldn’t have. But we do give and take. Refs didn’t help.

I don’t think we’ll always get so many good bounces but when we start playing just a stitch better no one will be able to run with us.

This team is awesome and could be awesomer.

David L pointed out a great thing in the GDT. Darnold is looking for more all the time. I think DL was referring to 3rd but but I think in general he’s the antithesis of Cousins and it’s awesome.

Vikings QBs through the first four games of 2023 and 2024:

2023: 108-167 (65%) for 1214 yards (303.5 yards/game) 7.68 average per attempt, 11 TDs, 4 INTs, 10 sacks for 65 yards, average QBR 51.8, average QB rating 100.45.

2024: 73-106 (69%) for 932 yards (233 yards/game) 8.83 average per attempt, 11 TDs, 3 INTs, 10 sacks for 63 yards, average QBR 73.58, average QB rating 116.23.

2023 QB gets you more yards through volume, 2024 QB gets you more yards per throw. This supports David L.'s statement that 2024 QB is looking for more.

Even taking out the 97 (?) yard TD to JJ, it's still 8 ypa in 2024. But it wouldn't be reasonable to exclude that play in any debate about going for it... simply because Darnold went for it! From the end zone no doubt. That play would be exhibit 1 for looking for more.
