Uncertainty over their TV contract. The Twins cut payroll in anticipation of a revenue short fall. Never mind all the years that they didn't spend up to their revenue percentage model.

This organization is pathetic. No way the Pohlads sell because fans in MN are too stupid and continue to accept mediocrity as long as the concessions are changing.
I can't stand Rocco but ownership is the real problem. No way the Pohlads ever sell because even if they only break even, the value of their asset continues to increase at least as good if not better than investments into the markets.
After today, I think the Vikings will win a Super Bowl before the Twins get back to the WS.

I have a fried who keeps telling me not to lose hope.

I told him to give up all hope. Embrace cynicism. That way if they pull off a miracle, it will be that much more enjoyable.

The writing has been chiseled into the granite wall...this team is in freefall. There it little to base HOPE on.

They are done. Stick a fork in them.

There has been some good stories with Larnach, Santana, and Castro but w/o Lewis, Buck, and CC running on all cylinders......all for just a .500 season.

This is really a first for me.

Normally when the Twins have a marginal team battling in a playoff race, I want them to get in. Because why not? It’s fun to have a team in the playoffs. A chip and a chair and a chance and all that.

This year I find myself actively hoping they don’t make it. Because what’s the point? They announced at the beginning of the season (in effect) that weren’t really trying. And then proceeded to live up to it. If they sneak into the playoffs we’ll have the pleasure of watching a AAA team get beat up by a real team. Maybe they can bring Dobnack back to start at Yankee Stadium.

One last chance. Sweep the Orioles to end the season and earn their way back in. Then I’ll pay some attention. Otherwise bring on the Vikings and Wolves.

I don't want the owners to get any extra money because they don't deserve it...they wouldn't even spend marginally more at the deadline.

Also the reason I didn't go to a game this year.....usually I go to 1-2....nope.

Why would sweeping the Marlins give you hope? The Twins have been able to beat teams that suck all year.

I can't stand Rocco and Falvine make some bad decisions but the Twins failure of this season resides with the Ebenezer Pohlads. Stick a fork in the Twins, they are done.
