o'connell is failing mccarthy, the team, and its fans....

he's throwing mccarthy into the deep end of the pool before he's learned to swim....

o'connell is a pass-happy psychopath....

i would tell him to hand the play calling over to mccown/phillips or leave the team....

imo we have a top 10 team, but o'connell is killing us....

That all could be true, although the run-pass balance in JJM's first three games was pretty good where he attempted 20, 21, and 25 passes.

As has been stated, it was befuddling to say the least considering the game was close and the running game wasn't the worst it's ever been. But way too many penalties created unfavorable down and distances.

Those penalties were the story, or underlying plot, of the game.

Solid point. The penalties were the key

Talk about taking the bait. Brad posts and they all bite.

Brad posted, and they gave great responses that refuted some of what he said.

Why reduce a good discussion into a bait and hook simplicity ? You're insulting those that came up with strong points.

Brad also has some valid points, and it's too early to tell the outcome on whether McCarthy will be a great QB, and too early to tell if it was a mistake to not stay with Darnold.

Wonder if there was new material? Totally rhetorical question!

Although this was a nice concise summary: Or is all you care about getting people to say, golly gee you're right, or are you going to put out another bullshit blanket statement that if nobody comments that they are agreeing with you?

Maybe the "I'm right' fringe can form (or complete!) an allegiance. A club if you will to share concepts and thoughts on how to hammer home they are right.

What the …!!!

Well that’s just great!

You’ve gone from a babbling numbskull nuisance to Wormtail, the babbling little rat-like henchman for Voldemort.

Aim higher, might I suggest sycophant? Flunky stooge is no way to spend your time.

Am I a troll? Yes I am, but that’s because I live under a bridge, drink beer, and harass travelers …

Not for insulting you or Brad directly, who insult the board and waste everybody’s time. Intentionally.

I do it by accident because I have no willpower.

I will call my own Time Out now and go sit in a corner for a day or two … but some things just can’t be tolerated.

If KGBum joined in they could be an I Am Right triumvirate... or an Axis of Evil II depending on one's perspective.

The penalties were so bizarre. How in the world does a QB get a false start... at home no less? I don't understand where the sudden loss of cadence came from but it's very alarming. We are one of the most penalized teams in the league.

And I'm sorry but the RTP call on Dallas Turner's sack on Lamar was complete bullshit. How is it roughing the passer if the ball hasn't even been passed yet? At that point he's just a player in possession of the ball. Meanwhile RB's get drilled into their grave on tackles and nobody cares. The rules are ridiculous. At some point we need to realize quarterbacks are playing football too.. they're gonna take hits. Especially with a guy like Lamar, if you're soft on him he's just gonna slip and get away.

Tom, and the other guys that chimed in, thanks for illustrating my earlier point on how your group bullying and name calling has chased people like KGB, Brad and others away. Then you end up having one of the Bills complaining about the lack of posters or content on the board.

But you'll never chase me away.

As Bill Montgomery from Kill Tony would say, "I ain't ever gonna stop Tony!"

Newbie MistaDon'tPlay, some good points there. Be careful not to go against the group "logic" that is Dicks, Bills, Toms and Harrys, they will call you names, twist your words, and pat themselves on the back for chasing you away.

Says the board's Welcome Wagon/Greeter while failing to realize people are smart enough to conduct their own analysis and/or have been long-time lurkers anyway.

But he doesn't get benefits so we let him do his thing.

Says one of the leaders of the let's keep people away that don't play by our rules, call them names and shame them if they don't.

"Welcome Wagon/greeter" - a great name, coming from a person who never name calls

Is that necessary?
How about we talk about football. No need to attack others when you can't come up with any content.....

Just to be clear, I said there was no name-calling (on my part) during the Breece Hall love affair era. 'Welcome Wagon/greeter' (w/o benefits) is more of a position title. Nevertheless... guilty as charged! The horror!

Looks like the post is gone. Was that a bot?

Company rules prohibit greeters from rolling out the Welcome Wagon to bots, but maybe that transgression can be overlooked.

That's our current draft position. A couple of teams have the same record and the snapshot might not even consider opponent strength of schedule. Continued undisciplined play should be able to get us into the 10-12 range no problem.

Last time we were at #12 Kwesi traded down and picked Cine, Booth, and Asamoah. The Lions took Jameson Williams who is averaging 17.6 ypc with 4 TDs.

And before last year what was Darnold's record?

He was given a chance.

JJM deserves a chance too.

JJM has been the QB for road wins at Chicago and Detroit. Needs better consistency and some work but the 0-2 is the Darnold problem...

JJM has had some really good moments but also some real clunkers mixed in. He's also 22 so you have to expect that. What I don't expect is a 40 YO coach who still refuses to develop a running game after resigning Jones, bringing in Mason and "fixing" the line.

It is beyond idiotic to have a 40+ to 15 pass to run ratio. We were leading at HT for cripes sake.

I'm not a robot. Is there a reason you keep flagging and banning my IP and accounts for no reason? I've been going back and forth with Toby via email for a week because of you.
