Bill the bully has Chris on his side, Bill thinks he can win a popularity contest if he gets a few people to back up his false assertions and bullying.

But it won't work with me.

C'mon Bill, repost my quotes, highlight certain things, add some emojis, then change my statements, try to make yourself look good Bill, try to make it appear that you're not trying to bully me, like you try to do with Phil, and with others.

Bill, people here don't want conversations about the Vikings, they love it when you attack someone, and the attacks go back and forth for pages. It makes for great reading 😂

Blah blah blah, Marty..

You chose the wrong horse, and like “ explosives planted in The WTC towers”, you ride the nag into idiocy…

JJM is gone, dead to us.. let it go, cut your losses.

Just stfu.

I now realize Marty is beyond butt hurt his boy was jettisoned off the team like a rag doll. Obviously that can cause considerable inner conflict, strain, and trauma. Some signs of this are delusions of past reality like thinking a QB won a competition when he didn't and/or creating a fanciful outcome for a QB in the future, like winning the SB so that he can say he was right.

I'll try to be more sympathetic to Marty's emotional state.

I understand Marty. Feel free to express yourself. I will be your sounding board. Perhaps losing JJM is like losing a family pet?

A simple Google search proves Bill and his cadre wrong, and I am only using the 1st one that came up (if I knew how to repost these things I would, maybe someone more tech savvy can do the same Google search I did and post it):

Here is from a post on FB August 11th, Michigan Diehards:

Almost every report was that JJ McCarthy was outplaying Kyler Murray during Vikings camp, yet Murray is named the starter. Wonder why?! 😲

Which was followed by a photo from someone named Joe which read:

"McCarthy outplayed Kyler in camp, Kyler had one of his worst practices yet on Saturday,
but the Vikings still named him (the) starter. Because the decision was made when Justin Jefferson demanded it in March."

Marty, I'm trying to sympathize with your loss, but when your source is from someone on Facebook called MICHIGAN DIEHARDS... well, it's difficult not to laugh out loud.

Danny, you might also be wrong about 9/11, I am not talking about JJ being a better QB, I am talking about what observers were saying during the camp.

Bill, you're either misunderstanding what I was saying, or trying to change the conversation into something else entirely, maybe because of Danny's misinterpretation of our conversation.

I am not feeling anything with regards to JJ, I was pointing out Bill's attempt at bullying, and his trying to use the small number of people on this board to make it sound like what I had read, what had been reported, and what I had seen on several podcasts, from people that were at Viking practices, was something that I was making up, well I wasn't making it up.

I hope this will help Chris and others who seemed to miss out on several eyewitness accounts of the QB "competition", understand the valid points I was making about it.

Now if Bill and Dan want to change the conversation to being about their made up interpretation of my feelings about the Vikings losing McCarthy, I am sure we can go back and forth on that for several pages, if that's what readers on this site want to spend time reading. By all means....

So that "proves Bill and his cadre wrong"? There is no cadre Marty. But that's ok. Hats off to unbiased Michigan Diehards for putting that to bed. Glad you can finally rest knowing in your heart that by golly JJM really did win that competition.

It was "worst", not "first", that was my spell checker, as I was retyping word for word what someone named Joe had posted on FB , in response to someone on a group called Michigan Diehards had posted.

It was the first thing I found on a Google search of McCarthy outperforming Murray. And it showed that many people had come to the same conclusion.

If you want me to find 3 sources that support what I was saying earlier, I can find them for you. I am not sure how to post pictures, or how to get audio from a podcast where someone was talking about McCarthy outperforming Murray in practices from people that were at the practices, but I can find the Podcasts, and then link the Podcasts, and then put on here the very second where it was mentioned, if you want me to hammer home the points a couple of posters were questioning.

I don't care if McCarthy had been out playing Murray, before Murray had been named the starter, it was widely reported, except people in this forum seemed immune to that information.

I am just showing it wasn't something I just made up, that it was not being reported that the reverse was true, and it came to the surprise of many that had been at the practices that Murray was being named the starter.

You have successfully put me on the defense, and I can easily prove you were wrong, that you tried to bully me, that you try to get others to come together and bully me, Phil, Brad, and others that have left this board.

Thanks for playing Bill.

Yeah, the Bucs had our number. Play tampa 2 and sit and the offense can't do anything then. I haven't watched the all 22 yet but I have a feeling nobody was getting open and that's why Murray had all day to throw the ball multiple times but opted to throw it away instead.

Also, won't be missed McCarthy. Never should have been taken as high as he was, glad the new GM is trying to drain the swamp. I suspect the QB room will be nuked entirely in the offseason. Surprised we even got a 5th for him, that's a fleece. The amount of people online saying he's gonna go light it up in NY is disturbing... he won't. I'd bet all my worldly possessions on it. If he's in the league for much longer it will be as a career backup, that's it.

A number of guys have done reviews on the all 22 with screenshots.
Guys were open.
Murray wasn't pulling the trigger or seeing it...

I guess that gives you hope things can drastically improve.
But to me... it looks like it's all on Murray... the offense has receivers open.

Yes, you've shown you don't care one bit about that QB competition.
Of course you didn't make it up and can prove I was wrong, MICHIGAN DIEHARDS proves your point.
Obviously you were bullied, probably by being called pussy and being referenced as "you pussies".
Absolutely I tried to get others to come together to bully you and others, it's all right there in the posts.

Good progress Marty, just let those emotions flow.

Imnsho:

Murray is too fn short to be effective in today’s nfl.

Hell, most DB’s, and linebackers, are taller, and every stinking Dl and OL is a near foot taller than midget Murray.

You can’t throw a football over a wall you can’t see over, with any hope of being near the intended target.

“ throwing to a spot” only works if ball and target are in that spot, and not a defender.

We have an outstanding defense, good weapons on offense, and a half decent line.. what we lack is a playoff caliber QB.

Wentz is not that, and Murray?

JFC….

What's next Bill, we question what a simple Google search shows, because it backs what Marty was saying ? Are you questioning what Google produces, that it was made up by Google ?

Should we go on FB, find the Michigan Diehards post and respond that, "But on TalkVikes, we had Chris, Dave and Bill who hadn't seen any reports that had favored McCarthy ? Or should we find some Podcasts where they were reporting McCarthy outplaying Murray, go to the comments section there, and say, " I know you have eyewitness accounts, but neither Chris, Dave or Bill from TalkVikes had heard of any of this, so it can't be true ?

Or should we find some of the writers that watched the practices, and email them, and tell them that Chris, David and Bill from TalkVikes hadn't seen their articles, they must have been made up ?

Google: McCarthy outplaying Murray

There you will find different accounts of the QB "battle", the FB Michigan meme I was referencing, along with the response from a guy named Joe, the early reports that favored McCarthy, Zulgad's stats that favored McCarthy, along with several articles that either favored MURRAY, or showed why Murray would eventually win the job. So there were reports that favored BOTH sides, if you only read articles or only saw podcasts that favored Murray, then you probably didn't read many articles, or probably didn't see many podcasts on the subject.

I am sorry if the activity which I called being a pussy might have applied to you, but I don't really like to use pussy in that context, as a pussy is actually a very tough thing. I was more focused on your behavior, of not taking a stance, and then trying to bury or bully anyone that took a stance.

Phil and Brad know what I am talking about, along with many people that stopped coming to this board because they were bullied by people like you.

I have had a few near death experiences, along with some traumatic things in my family, and some traumatic things in my own life, so I fear almost nothing, and will not be bullied by you or others who attempt to do it to me on a board like this.

And, you are correct Bill, I don't care about the previous QB "battle", just that there were varying points of view on it, and there were plenty of people that thought McCarthy was either winning the battle early, or that he had surpassed Murray later, that it was going back and forth, and that height matters.

I defer to KOC, as I stated earlier, there was a time when I believed Sean Salisbury gave the Vikings the best chance for that season.

McCarthy is now like Jalen Nailor, or anyone that left in FA, kind of cool seeing them do all right on another team, but not if they're playing the Vikings, and the Vikings success takes precedence.

I don't care to change the subject and make it about feelings about McCarthy leaving, if that is your preference because I proved you wrong, then so be it. It's a good attempt on your part to make this all about me, and attacking, and your trying to bully me, and then your making fun of your own bullying behavior; go ahead and make fun of your bullying, if it's therapeutic for you.

You may have bullied others off this board, and chased Brad away for a few months, and frustrated Phil, but you're not going to bully me, and I am not going away, and I will continuously point it out when you're doing so.

Murray is at the bottom on the list of qbs I'd pick for KOC.

However, in the 4 years Kyler has played 14 or more games
He has put up 3700+ yards with 66%+ completions.

Those numbers with BFlo defense would make you a serious contender.

Have to hope KOC/Kyler figure it out.

You were and still putting all your eggs into the JJM was the one basket. I preferred JJM to Darnold but not Jones last year----eventually you just have to get over it. He is gone.

Interesting from Mike Florio of
@ProFootballTalk

Paraphrasing, Florio eludes to the fact the Vikings almost cut J.J. McCarthy at the 53 deadline and should be thankful they got a 5th round pick instead of nothing.
Really sounds like a toxic situation behind the scenes 👀

The Vikings only got a fifth-round pick for J.J. McCarthy. Given that they surely were considering cutting him in August, getting anything was better than nothing.
