I think u meant nice job drviking....

No, what you did was pretty much effortless. About 10 years ago, I was betting with a guy, and just picked the opposite of his favorite bet, and did quite well. When he figured out that is what I was doing (we would talk over the games before betting), then he stopped betting.

Why didn't he just do his initial bet, then check for your opposite bet, then do the same bet only double his initial bet?

Man the things you can bet on.

I'm going to throw $100 on Duke Ihenacho to win MVP and see if I can get this life turned around!

I love to wager. But I think it would be wiser to invest that $100 in yourself, as opposed to a long shot, easy answer.

If Darrell Bevell had any balls this game would be a blowout.

He doesn't, so it will be 34-17, Seahawks.

I'm a little bit nervous going with a HC that took a knee in last years' playoffs, but I think Peyton wants to at least equal his brother with SB rings.

Russell Wilson is short, and has usually been on the short end of things, from his Rose bowl appearance, to the Seahawks' loss at Atlanta in last years' playoffs. I think he'll once again come up short.

I think Percy Harvin will get a kick return TD in the 1st quarter, and a TD in the 2nd quarter, leading Seattle to a 10 point lead at halftime. But the Broncos will comeback in the 2nd half and edge the Seahawks:

Broncos 27
Seahwaks 24

* IF the Seahawks win, Manziel will be the 1st pick in the draft.

Should have known better than to pick the team that had a HC that took a knee in the playoffs.

I've seen bad teams get blown out in a SB, I'm not sure if I've ever seen a good team get blown out, this could be a first.

Has any SB winning HC ever taken a knee in a playoff game, a game that is tied, with 30 seconds left on the clock ?

they were a lopsided team.  The Broncos defense wasn't that good.  And it goes to show you that a top flight defense can shut down even the historically best offenses.

AFC was poor this year.

NE might have finished last in the NFC West and they made the AFC championship game.

This could be the end of the pocket passer winning a SB for awhile. Brady and Manning might be DONE winning SBs, and maybe Rodgers as well .

Manning has a HC that takes a knee, and has no defense. Brady doesn't have the supporting cast anymore, and both of these guys are getting old.

It's possible we see a string of 10 SBs in a row won with what we call mobile QBs, it might look like this:

Wilson, Wilson repeats, Newton, Luck, Kap, Newton, Manziel, Wilson, Manziel, ?,

Here is my formula for Rodgers never winning another SB:

He loses another weapon this year with Jones. Capers is their achilles heal, but he is kept thanks to extreme cold weather that kept the opposing team at 20 (otherwise Capers' defenses are usually giving up a lot more points in playoff games). Capers is kept 2 more years, keeping the Pack from advancing in the playoffs. The 3rd year they try a new DC and he sucks, but is given 2 seasons. 5 years from now they hit on a good DC, but he has a rough 1st season and they fall short in the playoffs. The 6th season, the defense is up to par but Rodgers gets hurt on a playoff run. Rodgers retires the following season.

Rodgers doesn't have a great short game, and loves to throw deep a lot. This is why he was sacked frequently early in his career, and why he will take many shots. Although he now has a better LT, and Lacy take off some of the heat, he'll still take plenty of shots, and hopefully that will lead to a short career, and no more SB wins.

Can you tell I dislike Rodgers and the Packers ? I was even half way tempted to send a check to the Bear player that knocked him out last season . Having Rodgers is like having a Queen in chess, and the Vikes need to either get their own Queen, or knock the Packers' queen out to finish ahead of them.

You all may address me as the Grand Master of the Locks....

I crushed the competition in picking the locks of the week, even after giving some a head start...

your participation was comical and futile

that is all

good day

Maybe next time around you won't pussy out, and will actually make your OWN picks !

In all due respect, here is the final total:

DrViking 9
Brad 4
Marty 4
Prescott 3
Ricky 1

He did make his own picks. They just happened to be the opposite of yours, which is brilliant strategy.

I went 3 for 3, but I still think I tied you with my playoff pick, the Packers losing was my lock. That was my goal, get the same as you in 4 weeks as you did all year long.

I'm actually impressed Marty. I have literally not seen anyone as terrible at picking games as you. I could kind of tell from your all over the place picks in the past, but now I know why you have to do that. When you have to actually lock in to a game, you're just amazingly bad.

Prescott, don't forget Brad was just as bad, and most people are, that's why it's hard to consistently win at sports betting.

I couldn't find anything on you locking into the Packers losing their playoff game, no lock declaration, can't find any post on it.

But I AM impressed that you were 3 for 3, that's good, but then there is the question of whether or not you have any stamina. If you ARE really good at it, perhaps you should do some Vegas betting on games ?

Naw, he wasn't nearly as bad. He made about half the picks you did. You are unrivaled man. Enjoy it!

I'm not bad (lots are better), and have done some betting in past lives, but it's not healthy for my compulsive nature.

It takes a certain skill to be REALLY bad at picking. A person could have made some good money betting the opposite of my locks, but it is a bit wrongly skewed as I picked the Packers a few extra weeks because it felt like it cursed them.
