They're saying today, and I have to agree
Vegas has it all … except that one more stud D to put them over the top
Schmidt never got back to elite this year like he was in the playoffs last year
So sorry we couldn't give them that guy.
They got Tuch and Haula, and they're mad at us because they didn't get Dumba too.

That hit by Stasny was dangerous.

Eakin cross-checked Pavelsky as Pavs was backing out of the circle (yeah 2 minutes).

But none of the talking heads are talking about how Stasny finished him off when he was off-balance and vulnerable.

New rule: 5 minute major when 1st Foul sets up Foul-ee in bad position and then he gets hurt on 2nd Foul.

And it should be on 2nd Foul-er (Stasny in this case)
With Eakin serving 2!

Thank you
They're all talking like nothing happened.
Well, other than a guy convulsing on the ice.
One of the toughest guys in the league, btw
There was definitely penalties on the play
Gallant has turned into a total whiny bitch.
Was hoping DeBoer would drop him.

Eakin received a five-minute major for cross-checking and a game misconduct at 9:13. The Golden Knights were upset with the call. But whatever you think of the incident, whatever you think of the call, you have to respect how the Sharks responded.
In the moment, there is no cold analysis. There is only hot emotion.
"Tough to see, man," forward Logan Couture said. "Real tough to see. But you've got to give credit to [Thornton]. As soon as we got to that bench, he said, 'You guys go out and you get f-ing ... three goals right now.' And I mean, when a guy that's played 20 years orders you around like that, bosses you around, you've got to go do it, so we did. We got four."

Sounds like Koivu type leadership

I just got to watch the video of the hit. You are absolutely right. What Stasny did was absolutely dangerous with what appeared, malicious intent. Whether or not they got the call right on Eakin really doesn't matter. The Knights deserved 5 minutes of major penalty for the hit as SMF said, one of the toughest guys in the league.

All I can think of was your earlier post of Joe Motherf*ckin Pavelski video in the locker room and thinking how similar he, Pavelski and Koivu are.

I was going to show my grandson the locker room video of Joe Motherf*ckin Pavelski that SMF had posted earlier.........He is 9 years old, in 4th grade, loves to play hockey and loves Joe Pavelski.

I then decided that his father needs to show him the video, even though I am sure the kid has heard the language already.

After all the video is reviewed, Stasny should be the one paying hefty fines and sitting out numerous games to start the season next year.
That was absolutely a dangerous and avoidable hit by him after the initial cross-check.

And yes, that hit was terrible and I'm glad Vegas got hosed. They were gifted on the high sticking goal. That was totally over the crossbar.

Another great Game Seven
My Caps are done, but proud of them
Simply had nothing left at the end
Carolina was younger and had more legs left
The OTs were mismatches
Great Cup run last year tho and nothing to hang their heads about
Justin Williams … winner winner about a dozen times over. He gets it done.
People always wonder why I get pissy after games … its often because of how the winner handles it.
Last night … Williams talked for ten minutes about how much he respects what Washington accomplished, about how tough they were, etc …

Ovie did the same to Carolina... gave it up to the winner. Its called respect for the game and opponents.
THATS why all the Tiger Woods angst from me. Theres no mememememememememe in hockey.
Funny to watch Nino have 6 Grade A chances to finish that game … and nada.
He's all Swiss, no Finnish.

CRAZY ASS first round.
Anybodys game now.
One of those years … "if we just coulda got in" for a lot of people.
The usual scary suspects no longer looming.
GO SHARKS!
GO ISLES!

CBJ vs Boston
Me no likey either team.
Bostons not as good as most think imo.
Rask is playing very well, which gives them a chance vs anyone.
I enjoy Tortorella. A lot. This will be a hard fought scrap start to finish.
Boston in 7

Dallas vs St Louis
Me no likey either team.
Dallas is ugly but effective. Bishop is a beast when he's on.
The Blues have just been solid as hell in every area.
Another bloodbath, should be. If Binnington stays hot, the Blues will move on.
Blues in 6

Canes vs Islanders
Should be a fun one, lots of fan interaction and loud noises.
Refs will help the Canes probably.
Hoping all the MN boys do well. They make the Isles go.
Islanders in 7

Colorado vs Sharks
Easy pickings for me here.
Can't stand the Avs, the Sharks are my boys.
Can't see how San Jose has much left in the tank tho.
Avs might jump em quick. If they don't. The Sharks should prevail.
San Jose in 6 PLEASE

Not really feeling any of this round of games........I watched maybe a total of 20 minutes. Not likely to matter to me who makes the final, I probably won't watch much if any.
Maybe I should take up golf like the Wild.
