Stars headed home after beating us down, and smoked the BlackHawks 4-0.
And didn't do it quietly.
Lots of yukking it up. Wont sit well with Cheecago.
Sharp with a nasty snipe, made a realllll big deal out of it.
Keep an eye on this ... could get verrrry interesting.

The stars are playing out of their minds right now. The pressure they applied to the Hawks last night was unreal. The Hawks had some chances, but didn't do anything with them. That being said, I'm still very happy that sharp is out of our locker room. He can go be a pain in the ass with another team. Oduya, though, is a guy I wish was still in Chicago.

Thank the Lord the Blackhawks are playing tonight. Between the Vikes losing in soul crushing fashion and the stinking pukers winning, I needed something to keep my sports spirits up.

Coach Q signs a three year extension for da Hawks.
Easy peasy decision.
You're a lucky man joe.
Btw the Hawks predicted demise earlier this season was funny at the the, and just plain silly now.
Still a top five team, easily.

I make fun of Q for picking his lines out of a hat every other game and stuff like that, but it's clear that he's a great coach. And, most of all, the players give their all for him.

Hawks vs. Habs in Montreal, and in Toronto tomorrow to play the Leafs. Original Six throw downs! I love it.

Ovie has 501 goals in 801 games.
That's incredible, in this day and age.
Perhaps the greatest force on the ice, ever.
Was watching the night he had 499 and decided he was going to get 500.
He simply decided he was going to get 500. And nothing or no one was going to stop it from happening.
Just a bundle of energy and force and will.

It used to be there were multiple scorers like that every year. The NHL needs to do something about the still ridiculous dimensions of goalie equipment, get rid of neutral zone icing and go back to wooden sticks.

The size of the goalie equipment seems to be the biggest issue. If they increased the size of the goal mouth by about four inches across and two inches from top to bottom, that would counteract some of the goalie gear problem without affecting his play. Just a suggestion. Get Bettman on the phone.

Ovie is a great player, but he is a really special one when he is focused and motivated. He seems to be motivated and focused now, that's for sure.

My question was just answered tonight during the Wild game. FSN is televising the alumni game.

Great news.
Was so much fun to see all the alumni stuff going on today.
Shocked to hear how much some of them are practicing beforehand.
Ahhh, the ego of the professional athlete.
Pretty sweet actually.
40-50-60 years old and still don't want to be embarrassed.
God bless you guys.
So much fun to see Jack Carlson, Steve Payne, Tommy Younghans, and the legend Neal Broten all getting out there and having fun with fans and kids.
Going to be an awesome thing to see all those guys back together.

Yup, I am looking forward to seeing this game more than watching the Wild take a beating at the hands of Joe's team again....lol.

Loved the Neal Broten interview.
In typical Neal Broten, scoffs at Gorg for calling him a legend. "I'm no legend"
They cut back to Tom Chorske ... he of all-state, all-American as a Gopher, cup-winner as a pro, Chorske ... and Chorske looks at the camera and goes ... "umm, Neal Broten IS A LEGEND".

Amen.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is out for a long time with a hand injury. So, I guess he won't be traded?

He WAS the guy growing up. When other kids pretended to be Gretzky out there I was ALWAYS Broten . I still remember the Gretzky Titan hockey stick that was made out of some old weird, early on, composite.

I wanted nothing to do with it but all my friends had them. I stuck with the ole Christian ones made up around Roseau.

I still have an old Christian all wood stick. Of course it hasn't been used in years other than for moving things on hangers....LOL.

Remember when Gretsky picked a fight with Broten? It's on youtube somewhere. Didn't end well for Gretsky.

This season has completely proven .... that Patty Kane is either a
complete psychopath with no conscience, or a
misunderstood, falsely-accused uber talent.

My jury is still out.
But what he's doing is just flat-out crazy shit.
