This season has completely proven .... that Patty Kane is either a
complete psychopath with no conscience, or a
misunderstood, falsely-accused uber talent.

My jury is still out.
But what he's doing is just flat-out crazy shit.

The thing that bothers me about him is his off-ice decision making. Even if he did nothing illegal and got set up by a money grubber, which appears to be the case, he still put himself in the position for that to happen. And it was not the first time, by any stretch. I really don't like the guy, but he is a huge hockey talent.

Loved the Neal Broten interview.
In typical Neal Broten, scoffs at Gorg for calling him a legend. "I'm no legend"
They cut back to Tom Chorske ... he of all-state, all-American as a Gopher, cup-winner as a pro, Chorske ... and Chorske looks at the camera and goes ... "umm, Neal Broten IS A LEGEND".

Amen.

He WAS the guy growing up. When other kids pretended to be Gretzky out there I was ALWAYS Broten . I still remember the Gretzky Titan hockey stick that was made out of some old weird, early on, composite.

I wanted nothing to do with it but all my friends had them. I stuck with the ole Christian ones made up around Roseau.

One of the coolest trips I ever took was to tour that factory. Someone gave me a stick that was cut for a player named "Tselios", who I believe was Chris Chelios' nephew. I still have it, and I also use it to sling coats on.

Wow. Not a good night to be an NHL official. Wideman crosschecks one on the way to his bench, and lucic accidentally punches one. I think someone is going to be suspended for a while.

All the hand wringing about John Scott .......
The worlds best sport once again overcomes all.
Takes hockey to a place like Nashville, and knocks it out of the park.
Best event ever.
The line between a GREAT hockey player and good one is razor-thin. Scott proved that again today.

I love the sport because it honors hard work and humility and passion.
Saw some of all of that today in Nashville.

That was excellent!

Most enjoyable all-star game of any sport I've watched.

Mostly due to John Scott and the obvious camaraderie and inclusion of him by the "superstars" he played with. But I like the format as well. So great to see him do well in that setting after all the hoopla.

And who says the Nashville fans don't have hockey sense?
They booed Bettman!

Try and imagine the NBA primaDonnas opening their arms to a rebounding grunt currently playing in the D-League somewhere .....
Yeah, just TRY to imagine that..

Illuminates perfectly the differences between the people who make up the sports, imo.

Was pretty ballsy of him to take the punches.
Well-deserved, but he did take them.

This ping ponging on them is getting old. They should just kick them out of the league for everyone's benefit.

Does anyone see any big trades on the horizon? Toronto gave Phaneuf his papers, but that was an expected salary dump. I don't see any big names moving.

I hope he sends a thank you note to Roger Goodell for making him look so good in comparison.

Rangers to acquire Eric Staal from Canes
The veteran center will join his brother Marc after waiving his no-move clause. Carolina will get two second-round picks plus prospect Aleksi Saarela in return. Eric Staal has 33 points this season and is a four-time All-Star.
