This is one awful basketball team. What happened to this program? And how did it crash so quickly? We're getting absolutely dismantled by Maryland.

The women are off to a good start in the post Banham era. Kenisha Bell has proven to be a great addition. Wagner is stepping up in a bigger scoring role. While they don't the star at the top this year, there is a lot more balance and a lot more team speed.

Let's just say you missed the mark by....a smidge.

The girls lost one of the top players in the country 2 years ago....Zahui left after her redshirt Sophomore season for the WNBA.

Gophers beating the Nittany Lions into submission at Williams Arena. How is the team looking this year, Tim? Will we make the big tourney?

I realize the Gophers women are decent, but how do you get as bad as that Penn State team was today? Yikes ...

The Gopher women defeat #23 Michigan. So let me get this straight ... Gopher basketball teams are actually allowed to beat conference rivals who are ranked? ... and from the state of Michigan?

Somebody is going to have to sit coach Stallings down and set her straight. And what is with having a freshman rise to prominence. You're supposed to under use them until they transfer.

Wait a minute. Now they just beat #9 Maryland. I take that back. They stomped the shit out of #9 Maryland. I'm sure this kind of behavior out of a Gopher basketball team has to be a violation of Gopher athletic department policy. Our teams are not allowed to beat teams ranked higher than us. Especially when we are currently unranked. Coach Stollings is, no doubt earning a one way ticket out of here...

... to a better job.

That's surprising. They are 21-6 over all, 10-4 and tied for third in the Big Ten and just knocked off #23 and #9 back to back. Maryland has been beating everyone by an average of 20 points a game and the Gophers just knocked them down and put the boots to them.

Yes, Brenda Oldface er Friese is still the coach there, which makes it so much sweeter. As your second question, I doubt Little Richie will ever know.

Congratulations to the Gopher women on their first round win over the higher seeded Wisconsin Green Bay. Kenisha Bell just took over the game in the second half to bring us from 9 down to a double digit win. That makes them something like 4 - 0 against Wisconsin teams this year and you gotta love that.

I still don't get why NCAA women's has a host team for the regions. Oregon is the #2 seed and they got to play on their home court. They were too good for the Gophers to handle, but the set up should be neutral court.

Like anything else, it's all about the Lincolns.

She's gone. Coyle will start looking for a replacement immediately. History has shown he doesn't take very long.
