Can't pull the upset with inept plays like that, Jacks!
Too many mistakes today for them as well.
The blunder bowl so far.

Games like this, they should never even mention our punter ... instead, he's the star of the show.
Sad, really.
Our offensive "attack" is a joke.

I was just going to say ... I bet we see a game-breaking long play like the one NDSU killed us with a couple years ago.
Can still see that kid turning it on down the sidelines and sending all the Bison lovers into hysteria.
Let 'em hang around, thats what happens ...

Gophers are playing against smaller players and still get pushed around at the line of scrimage.

Gophers are lucky to come out with a win. How sad

New stadium on campus and they still can't fill it with students. They should have stayed at the Metrodome

Yes, there is such a thing as an embarassing win ....
Want a transcript of Brewsters presser?
"Great win. We took care of business. SDSU is a wonderful team, we knew we'd have our hands full. This is another step for our program. I'm gosh-darned proud of the way we handled adversity today, and best of all, it moves us forward in our bowl-eligibility quest. Love where our program is going."

Jacks turned the ball over 4 times, in bad spots and almost still beat the big boys.
We have gone to a place with this program many thought was not possible.

Just a horrifying/amusing game. I actually found myself pulling for SDSU in the same perverse way I used to root against Denny Green's team late in his tenure. When you just KNEW he was a loser, and we had to run him out of town ASAP. We have a senior-dominated lineup this year, and it is beyond scary to ponder this team without them next year. Jedd Fisch looks like he's scared to death on the sideline. There is just no moxy, no confidence there whatsoever. Small wonder it shows up on the playing field.

Maturi has a very difficult job...how tough it must be to see the first year in the new stadium playing out as it has, particularly the lack of student support. There are lots of entertainment options for fans now, and this economy means you MUST produce or people will vote with their feet. I hope and pray Seantrel Henderson comes to the U and helps ignite the recruiting. But it feels pretty desperate now...sort of like hoping Brett Favre can lead the Vikes to a Super Bowl win to save the franchise in MN.

Why would they want to come out and watch this?

For a guy that came from a successful program in Florida, he sure does struggle

I realize how silly it sounds, but I'm on board .....
Tony Dungy is our only hope.
We desperately need him to see how hopeless things are here, and hope he finds it in his heart to come out of retirement and help his pathetic alma mater out.
It won't hurt to ask.

I've been saying Fisch is so far over his head it's amazing he can breath for a while now.  He's gameplans are a joke.

And that performance Weber put up today is the worst i've ever seen.   And i've seen Spergeon Wynn

That "pick six" he threw today is inexcusable. That's a throw you just don't ever attempt.

Love it.
Lots of crowing, little results.
Gopher Nation .... my ass.
A big ouch from my boy Kyle Minett after he ran well against the Gophs yesterday "they are no better than Northern Iowa or Southern Illinois, we simply beat ourselves with bad mistakes"
Owwwwwwch. Truth hurts.

That's like saying Brewster's best coaching job ever. You're not setting exactly the bar high.

Brooster and the Gophs "hoping to avoid" having to go to Detroit for a Bowl Game.
Wow, that is wrong on so many levels, there is simply no place to start.

Have you watched the Gophers play "football"?
Them thinking they are beyond ANYONE'S Bowl game tells you just how ridiculous their self-image is.

I think it's pretty shoddy myself.  It's based on a false premise.  He's comparing this game with one of the great NFL football games ever played.  Why?  Nobody else is doing that.  He'd have a point if someone was trying to inflate the meaning and value of this win.  But as it is, it's just pointless cheap shots.

Sure Brewster's remarks were overly positive, but guess what, that's what coaches do.  He'll be the first to tell you that he's not happy with where the team is at, but at the same time, he's got a program to sell.  And there's no need to apologize for wins.

Plus just my personal taste but I've never found Souhan funny.  He could take a lesson from Reusse there.  Reusse is hilarious...and his targets are well deserved.

Of course man.  SOS doesn't usually hit the ice until 7 PM.  I need someone to sling insults at during the lull (see Fisch and his incompetent play calling).

Ironic as hell to read this, since I just came on to post the rumor that this process (with Dungy) has been initiated and the possibility is quite real.  Got this info from someone who's supposedly in the know.

Fingers and toes crossed....

Gophers will show up this week. Believe me...they will keep it close or beat the over-rated Hawkeyes.
