Where did this officiating team come from? 2 PI called on Gophers when ball was clearly uncatchable, then McNight pushed in the back in end zone and not called, Liar interfered with and no call, PS punt returner knee hits ground before ball gets to him and a whistle gets blown. This crew is a joke

Chalk up another "winnable" game as a umm, well, as a loss I guess.
I hear it was "winnable" tho.
So we have that going for us. Once again, my heart goes out to the student body, who desperately wants a good football program. They do. And they ain't getting one.

Gophers knocked out their starting QB and played mostly with 3rd string QB and defense couldn't get the job done

I agree Fargo.  I normally don't try and blame a ref-ing crew but that was just bizarre.  The fair catch thing really was a head scratcher.  Their explanation was that as soon as a fair catch signal is given it's a dead play?????  Really?  I would signal for it as soon as the ball is snapped.  Dead ball before it even hits the punters hands.

It'll make for really good field position from now on

Heading up for the Gopher Buckeye game this weekend, really looking forward to seeing the stadium. I will be living the life of luxury in the box seats!

Which Gopher team will show up? the one that played USC tough? Or the other one?

Right after Brewster got fired I thought I heard/read that Maturi wasn't going to use a search team and now he has hired the same one that gave us Brewster. Doesn't he know how to find a coach on his own? He is in Atlanta now talking to them and I can just hear the conversation. "find us someone that won't cost us to much money"

Jim, he hired the one that got us Tubby, not Brewster.

How are they going to hire a good coach when that coach knows a new AD and President will be coming in shortly? And we know how new ADs and Presidents need to make their mark right away by hiring a new football coach. Maturi should be fired and replaced right now. Then we can move ahead with a new coach, hired by the new AD. The new President will probably leave the new AD and new coach alone.

Have a great ttime Andy!
Sounds like you lucked out on the weather, should be a golden Fall day.
Hope it is a game for more than a couple minutes. Could be, could not be. What a mess at the beloved U.
Then the stats come out today that our "athletes" rank near the bottom of the Big Ten in grades. Wonderful.
At least Northwestern used to have an excuse for sucking. We can suck without any excuses like that.

No doubt. So, let me get this straight. We are recruiting the mediocre athletes that are dumb? At least programs like Miami get half the equation right.

Good God, Iowa looks scary.
That was one hell of a MS team that went in there and got embarassed.
They may hang 100 on the Gophers. yep, 100.

Not bad .... we're a couple minutes in, and OSU hasn't scored yet.
Whats that? They haven't had the ball?
Well, yeah, but ....

Right back to the Swiss Cheese Defense.
Look at it on GameDay once .... it really hits you when you see the long arrows (that signify positive yardage)
It's just 5,7,8,5,13,8,12 ..... you get the idea.

Beautiful weather, beautiful setting, beautiful stadium, still ugly defensive football.
Mr Weber has come to play, however.

And right on cue .... our kicker fails us again.
We simply do too many demoralizing things to ever be taken seriously.

We go (in about 2 minutes ...) from being in the game at 14-10 (potentially) to being out of it at 21-7.
We never miss our feet with those shots we fire, do we?
We are the greatest foot-shooters on the planet the past decade or so.

THAT was a crushing drive.
Offense HAD to get something going to kill the half.
Didn't, and thats what happens. Game over.

Oh my.
We skipped the wheels coming off
We went directly to free-falling off the highest cliff in the country.
Wow.
At this point, we'd have to improve dramatically, just to get UP to pathetic.
Bet ESPN is giddy about owning the rights to this one.
