Btw ... What's up with that ump crew and their distaste for us?
The strike zone was almost as bad as it was that famous night in Detroit.
Guccioni seems to have a breadstick sideways about us for some reason.

Oh, and ... Kurkijan just put an end to the fun.
Says the numbers mean the Twins will soon be irrelevant again.
The other four teams n our division are simply too good for us to beat.
So we have that going for us, which, ya know, sucks.

I say we show up and see what happens.

Well, they are playing Boston IN Boston, so yeah, they'll naturally get their asses handed to them.

That's how baseball is played out there. You bow down and get it handed to you.

Which is also the primary reason they are talking about the Twins.

Been fully aware of that myself.
Certainly a big part of the sudden hoopla.
Getting the top record made it a cinch, but yeah, heading in to Bahhhhhhston was the biggest ESPN push.

IMO the chances that Johan throwing a few more pitches than usual on that day had anything to do with his downfall is next to zero.

Either the Royals have cultivated a great national fan base or they've just counted votes from KC's area so far:

Haven't they been selling out most games? That's a big part of it.

Ya, but so have several others. That's just a little ridiculous.

Ya, but so have several others. That's just a little ridiculous.

The fan base is energized and apparently many are sitting in the stands punching piles of ballots. Most of the other places that have big crowds just ignore the AS ballots because they've seen their guys in the AS game over the years. This is the Royals big chance to dominate the AS game roster for once, and the fans are all over it.

Hmm interesting. Have you made any games there this year yet, Matt? I'm planning on hitting 1 or 2 this month I think.

Not yet. Have no idea if I'll get down there this year. I'd like to - it's been a few years now.

Didn't make it last year. I think we've been there 6 times? First time was 2006, I think. So that's a pretty fair batting average.

I believe we went every year 2006-2010. I don't remember which year we met you there. Do you? That was pretty crazy when we ran into you at that outside mall in Kansas City, Kansas.

Wait...I think our first year may have been 2004. I don't know anymore. The years kind of run together at this point. Getting old.

Super crazy. I think that was 2010 or 2011.

Joey Gallo to be called up on Tuesday, Jon Daniels just said on radio

He has even more pure power than Sano. Swings and misses a lot but huge power tool.

Should be interesting.

My wife would offer up ninety seven suggestions for us to do on a holiday weekend.
Not one would have anything remotely to do .... With baseball.
We both find girls from motley/pillager, and you get the baseball lover.
You're spoiled, dude.

Bartolo Colon being 8-3 blows me away.
Every year there's a situation where someones success is completely unexplainable.
This is as crazy as it gets.

Yanks pummel King Felix last night.
Astros get back in the groove.
Angels streaking.
Kershaw with three hits last night. Shouldn't be such an odd occurrence.
My entire life, the best HS pitchers are usually also the best hitters. Should be some very good ML hitters in the bunch. People act shocked when some can hit.

I think it's just preparation time. Incredibly hard to devote enough time to both to be great at both at that level IMO.
