Cleveland loses pitching coach CALLAWAY to manage the Mets

Bosio out in Chicago; rumors are that he'll joine ex-teammate Paulie in MN.

Time for some official predictions. I'll say Astros in 6.

MVP: Verlander (should pitch games 2 & 6)

Triple digit temps at game time are predicted.

Good thing they're not in MN for the series. Brrr, the wind chill is in the 30s

Its unbearable out here. No way I'd enjoy being in those stands if it wasn't the Loge or Field Areas that are underneath the other bleacher sections.

ANYTHING uncovered is terrible today. The top deck seats were going for $1000. In this heat, BY FAR the worst seats in the house.

It's a dry heat. The pregame guys look perfectly comfortable in their suits and ties.

Since nobody except SMF and me (nobodies) have given predictions, I will post the Fox pregame panel predictions:

Big Hurt: Astros in 7
No Play for Mr. Gray: Astros in 6
Big Papi: Dodgers in 6
Alexander Rodriguez: Dodgers in 7

Reddick played for a very short time for the Dodgers, right? Was he a dog there?

Dave Roberts is only 45. Apologies to the family, but he looks over 50. The ONLY thing that made me wonder was his relatively recent signature stolen base in the World Series. Otherwise? My over-under was 53.

Kiki just annoyed me. Nonchalanted a catch in the WS, much worse than Aaron Hicks ever did with the Twins.

Big story about that ... tweeted he was so happy to get a chance to stick it up the Dodger fans asses
Really a rough time there I guess
Only a couple months but they rode him like a redheaded mule
Twins players have no idea how easy they have it

I'm not a Smoltz hater. Kind of a likable guy. But he takes loving the sound of your own voice to new levels. He makes Tim McCarver sound like the kid in Mask.

Is that a blonde Alyssa Milano behind the Astros on deck circle?

I love star watching.

I loved the Yankee crowd behind the plate
Rich Old bags who had no idea what was happening.
