Watch the throw on this double play:

https://www.mlb.com/news/ramon-laureano-makes-incredible-throw-for-as/c-289951726?partnerId=ed-12989202-1089443143

One of the greatest I've seen
Saw it yesterday and couldn't get over it
Probably my favorite thing in baseball, the long accurate throw

My favorite part about playing the game and my favorite play to watch.

BTW, Kudos to the miracle workers in MIL

Chacin has been on the scrap heap a long time

Will be 12-4 after today(probably) and had 10 K's in 7IP

Lots of teams missed on that.

And

Lorenzo Cain hitting .304 at Milwaukee. Who knew he had anything left?

Cain was a brilliant get for the Brewers. I knew he would be. And I took the heat. And how's my guy Hosmer doing?

That's one I'm just not letting go of.

I get it, local hero and all that baloney

But do you want to win next year, or prop up the shell of his former self for another 2 years, 3 years?

Even one year?

Pisses me off. Joe is so done. He should pull a Whalen and announce the retirement. If he goes through one of those whole season things, he'll be aw shucks at all those stadiums.

Whoop-de-do.

NOT what the focus needs to be on. But will be. Stupid.

So we want him to be the anti-Jeter.

Sure, go with that.

Should not be back next year.

In the last three of those games, Acuna has hit a leadoff home run, as the Braves' first batter of the game. Only one other player in baseball's modern era (since 1900) has hit a leadoff homer in at least three straight games -- that was Brady Anderson, who did it in four straight for the Orioles from April 18-21, 1996. Anderson was 32 when he accomplished the feat, though, which makes Acuna the youngest.

So Acuna has matched the roider, Brady Anderson.
Which wonder drug is the kid using?

Joe Mauer isn't the reason why this team is losing 90+ games!

Eh. That's enough of that noise.
He just isn't a guy who makes an impact on games. He is a table setter with no speed and plays first base. He will be 36 and has a concussion history but hey....
Maybe he's willing to cut us a break and give a hometown discount.

Stop the insanity
Just let go

Someone wasn't happy with all the attention Acuna was getting with his leadoff HRs.

Jose Ureña was too much of a coward to challenge Ronald Acuña Jr. on Wednesday night, so instead he hit him with a 97-mph fastball.

Isn’t it time we started calling pitchers who do what Ureña did – bury a baseball into a hitter because the hitter had the audacity to be great – exactly what they are? Coward works. So does chicken. Or yellow. Anything to stigmatize the stupidity of this act, which is so old, so tired, so beyond stupid and so contrary to the objective of the game: be better than your opponent.

HBP means no official at bat. So he still has a chance. Can bet Acuna has armor on the elbow now.

I see Acuna initially stayed in the game. But when he got into the field to start the 2nd inning, he couldn't stay in the game.

From what I've read they did tests and were waiting on a CT Scan

Pretty dirty. The pitcher showed no remorse. Have to agree, crap like that deserves more than 10 games.

I see Dansby Swanson and I see an SMF kinda guy. Like a modern-day JJ Hardy. I'm positive SMF has a man crush on Swanson. Surprised we haven't heard about it yet.

Joe West's umping numbers are impressive, considering he didn't ump any mlb games in 2000 or 2001

Was in Houston to see Saturday's game against the Mariners. West was behind the plate.

The guy has trouble walking. No way could he ump 1st or 3rd and run down the line to confirm a catch/trap.

I was very surprised how poor his condition was physically.
