You can never have too many good corners. We will need all of them to contribute in time. I'm just not on board with selecting another cornerback early in the draft as I have heard suggested on the radio.

I would trade Waynes. Hughes is an immediate upgrade, MacKenzie and Hill can cover the other spots. Can always draft a 3rd or 4th rounder for depth.

Of course no one knows how Hughes is going to come back form his ACL and Hill is already suspended for the first 4 games, but why let facts get in the way of a horrible take?

Stated that a couple of weeks ago. Guess he's ok with flushing at least the first month of the regular season down the toilet. No surprise for the closet packer fan.

Wrong again Bill.

I suspect that even a rookie can match the play of "I'm late in getting there" Waynes, and after about 6 games that rookie is outplaying what "I'm late in getting there" Waynes would do, or Hill has the spot, and good riddance to Waynes.

No, but it might finally enter your, maybe hollow, head.

It's already true, but instead of "I'm late in getting there", it should be "I'm USUALLY late in getting there" Waynes.

At least stuff gets into my head. I think your tinfoil hat blocks good ideas from getting in.

The tinfoil just blocks dangerous government transmissions, and zeitgeist ideas that lack merit.

I think the conversation here is getting nasty toward Marty with no reason to be so. He doesn't like Waynes. I'm iffy on Waynes. Some people like Waynes. All positions on Waynes have merit.

I like Marty better than Waynes and I like Waynes.

That's some nice comments, lots of cool people here, even the ones that dislike me, or like to be negative about me.

I am a creator if ideas, mostly bad ones, occasional good ones. I learn a lot bouncing ideas off the many more knowledge posters here.

If your sole purpose is to judge me negatively in order to feel good about yourself, have at it.

And have a Happy Easter, Wester, Souther, Norther !

It's hard to see Chicago having it harder with their 1st place schedule. We get a lot of tough teams on the road. More than they do it seems.

The days of the first place, last place or whatever place schedule are long gone in the NFL. There are only 2 games on everyone's schedule that were determined by what place anyone finished in.

6 games against the NFC North
4 games against one NFC division (Vikings and Packers play the same teams at home and on the road, while the Bears ad Lions do the same opposite of the Vikings and Packers)
4 games against one AFC division (Vikings and Packers play the same teams at home and on the road, while the Bears ad Lions do the same opposite of the Vikings and Packers)

all of the above is predetermined years in advance.

which leaves 2 games against the other 2 NFC divisions where you play the teams that finished in the same spot you did the year before.

Todd's post is, IMO, about home vs away opponents. We definitely have it tougher against top/upper tier teams.

Vikings
Home:
Philly
Atlanta

Away:
Dallas
Seattle
SD
KC

Bears:
Chicago in London (ugh)

Home:
NO
SD
Dallas
KC

Away:
Philly
LA

As far as just the two 1st and 2nd place teams:

Chi has LA away and NO at home
We have Phil and Atl at home

Easier for us. But that's just for those two uncommon opponents.

Still need two more people to represent in the Talk Vikes 2019 NFL Mock Draft. Who will step up? Once we have 8 we can lock it and you will need to make 4 selections. These would be 6-14-22-30 for the first to enter and 7-15-23-31 for the second. We can start it tomorrow morning assuming we are ready.

Cousins should have, for the good of the team, taken a voluntarily paycut this offseason.

It would have helped him gain locker room respect, and would have made the WRs more interested in building chemistry with him.

Actually Chi is at LAR while We are at Sea

Chi is home to NO while we are home to Atl.

I agree that we have harder road games because Minn and GB have to go to the two best AFC West teams while Det and Chi get to host them. However, I really like how our schedule ends up. 3 out of 4 at home all 3 of those against the division. Only road game is in LA so no real cold weather games.

I always assume we have an easier schedule than every other team in our division for the simple reason that they have to play us twice while we get to play them twice.
