Diggs has heart, but you can also see quickness in the college film, gets up to speed very quickly, creating some separation. And, it seems like he is one step ahead of the opposition, quickness of mind, to make adjustments in the air, and to setup or fool the opponent when he takes steps.

I think Diggs may have the best quickness/footwork of any WR in the league.

Redzone, single coverage, his fake slant, fade is ridiculous.

I agree.

I have a suggestion for the people who think I'm some kind of negative presence on the board. Block me. I have blocked Odin, JT2 and Bill Johansen who I single out as one of the most evil, and mean spirited people I have ever met on the internet and as long as he is not quoted and he very seldom is I haven't had to put up with his vendetta against me. Also it isn't only me he is a complete jerk to. I love the Vikings and I enjoy discussing them with all of my fellow Vikings brethren. I'm opinionated, but I don't hold a grudge against anyone who disagrees with me. However, if it bothers anybody to discuss the Vikings with me just block me. It's all good.

Not likely. This is certainly out of the box thinking.

Any other suggestions for out of the box roster cuts? Everson Griffen might be a possibility to me. I mean, there is a lot of competition along the defensive line and mostly pretty cheap. Last year they cut Robison. I know Griffen took a pay cut, but his performance did drop last year for the personal reasons, but there certainly is no guaranteed roster spot for him this fall. He will have to earn it.

I don't have anything to offer this morning, but wild speculation.

For anybody who has concerns about Bradbury and his strength and anchoring ability I present game film from his game against Wilkins and Lawrence of Clemson.

What better challenge could a college OL take on then going against those two first round picks.
He dominated them all day long.

A lot of different receivers getting attention.

This will be fun to watch.

Stop playing like you're being victimized here. Bill J. and I have disagreed before and isn't a diplomat by nature, but Bill contributes much more to the board than you do, and like JT2 and others, can see right through your BS. "Mean-spirited" would be what you wrote repeatedly about David F, who contributes prescient and insightful comments more often than most everyone.

You know exactly what you're doing with your trolling or (less likely) you're so socially tone-deaf/devoid of empathy that you don't care about the overall quality of talkvikes. If this is due to job loss, trauma, life change, addiction or physical/mental illness/developmental challenge, please get the help you need rather than seeking negative attention here.

I'm the one that initially called out the Hydra over 20 years ago. Your behavior is arguably worse for the board overall, because you are more skilled at trolling and irritating others while attempting to maintain a facade of magnanimity. You keep obsessively splitting hairs and repeating yourself incessantly (as Big O described so well). Blocking you does no good because you flood the forum with so many posts that your repetitive drivel is quoted constantly.

quote:

Spotting a skilled troll can be quite difficult; one formulation of Poe's Law is that "any sufficiently advanced troll is indistinguishable from a genuine kook."

I love this board and try to contribute when I can, but mostly visit in order to read the great opinions and most recent info, all in one place. I typically don't post unless I feel like I'm adding value or can't find an answer after a thorough search (unless it's on a Game Day thread, of course). That's why I post at about 4% of your output-probably more like 1% or less over the last few years.

If I were to receive this type of feedback from more than one person, I'd reduce my posts to three or less per day and not repeat myself, but you've never received feedback well or shown even a modicum of insight (if you are actually not trolling) . I'm posting this mostly in the hope that others simply reply: "Please don't feed the Last Word Troll", when you start your next flood of petty distinctions over trivial matters for attention.

Don’t be so obtuse. When several people in a small group accuses you of being oblivious to the criticism / input of others ... and you ask them to alter their behaviour (by blocking you) and toss it all off with ‘it’s all good’ - it just perfectly proves how oblivious you are.

I’ve been called out in here for being a jerk ... rightfully so ... we all are passionate about this subject and imo almost everyone in here steps over the line at times - and should get called out ... this is a great board that is capable of course correcting, at times.

Johanesen, JT2, and Odin are all very solid, long-time investors in this board ... I agree and disagree with them frequently so don’t dismiss this as piling on ... they are not the problem. And their criticism is valid:

Nobody comes in here to read pages and pages of Tom Sykes or Kgdabom minutia and opinion.

Johansen is without question an absolute jerk. He's hateful, probably miserable and wants to share his misery with everyone else. What's wrong with recommending people block those who annoy or offend them? I've never thought that you are or were a jerk Tom.

Bruce - I don't say it enough but I appreciate the info you post on this board!

Some of those concepts are beautiful. The TE screen? I'm salivating thinking of getting Smith Jr the ball in space, no defender within 10 yards. And do you see the lanes the zone blocking can create.

I'm pretty excited about this team's potential.

The #Jets have added two more names to their GM request list: #Vikings assistant GM George Paton and #Seahawks Co-Director of Player Personnel Scott Fitterer were requested, source said. They join Joe Douglas (#Eagles) and Champ Kelly (#Bears) on NYJ’s list so far.

-----------------------

I know Paton has been a GM candidate before but the freakin Jets are shameless in their attempts to poach anything Vikings.

It's not even flattering at this point., its weird.

I think you are right. Kevin Williams was a great player too, of course. I may feel closer to Winfield because of his son being a Gopher and because I heard him on the radio so many times.

I was just looking at that too and dreading the same thing. Their first four games are:
quote:

Sun, Sep 8
vsPittsburgh Pittsburgh
8:20 PM

Sun, Sep 15
@Miami Miami
1:00 PM

Sun, Sep 22
vsNew York New York

Sun, Sep 29
@Buffalo Buffalo

I think they are in very good shape the first four games without trading for him. NE wouldn't "overpay" in this circumstance for sure, not something they do anyway.

No matter what scheme you use it is up to the players to execute it. If the blocks are not made and if the backs don't hit the hole at the right time its over.
