BigO, if by "nobody", you really mean "most people", then by your words, "nobody" is in denial.

Thanks for the concern David. It be cool.

As for

Maybe but I think Marty is "swayable" its all in his subconscious. He is taking the easy way out like players who get injured on purpose. He is already finding scapegoats because he fears another disappointing season. So rather than getting his hopes up he is transferring his fear onto Kirk Cousins. Its ok Kirk has big shoulders and needs them.

Daniel House watched tape of Jordan Taylor's college games. He is high on his chances to make the team.

Sounds the Vikings Kevin Warren, 55, will be the next Big 10 sports commissioner.

Yep!

Thanks Bruce...

This would be a massive find for the Vikes if he could step in and contribute at perhaps our only position of need on the defense.

Although these are only highlights (He was Pac 12 Defensive player of the year) Still find it hard to believe a guy who appears to hold up that well against big OLineman, and that quick twitch isn’t drafted?

We’ll see, but could be like found money for a very good defense.

I sure hope he works out. We keep finding absolute gems as UDFA.

This would be another feather in our caps.

Must have been his weight that caused him to go undrafted.

I think he makes the roster and spells Stephens on obvious passing downs.

Probably needs to pack another 20lbs on before he can be an every down player at the 3t.

Of course I am happy that we got him. (Hercules) It was a very low risk proposition. Still, put me in the wait and see camp. I want to see him performing at a high level with NFL players with pads on. If he does well, I will cheer him on like I do for all the Vikings. Nevertheless, I am skeptical because I figure there were reasons he was not drafted. Put him in there and let them compete and may the best players make the team.

Mike Hughes rehabbing on the field. Per Krammer on Twitter he will not practice with players until at least the beginning of training camp or beyond.

I agree. but it sounds like he wasn't drafted not be cause of inability but because of size and I think he had an injury too. He was small for an interior DL. Still is, but from what I've read he's gained weight and hasn't lost his quickness. Which is a very good sign. As with any unproven talent, you have to wait and see though.

Exactly. I don't think he was injured coming out of college, though. Also, I'm skeptical that he hasn't lost any quickness after gaining weight. Is that even possible? Maybe. I just want to wait and see. I don't want to drink the cool aid, yet, but you all know me that I want to be optimistic and hopeful.

#Vikings coach Mike Zimmer on Garrett Bradbury: “Garrett has done a nice job. … We’re giving him a lot of different looks defensively, so I think that’s good for him. There’s times when we can get him confused a little but he’s very, very bright and doing a good job.’’

I had forgotten about this player:

One personnel item of note: DT Curtis Cothran got some work with the second-team defensive line. Cothran was a UDFA pickup in 2018.

(Sam Ekstrom on Twitter)

For those of us who need a refresher, here's something about him:

Courtney Cronin on Treadwell:

There is zero benefit to cutting him today. Zero. It’s dead money that still counts against the cap. They’re paying him - let him go thru training camp & give it one final go. I state clearly that he’s not a lock to make the 53. Deciding to release him on cut down day vs June 4.

He was on the field for 50% of our defensive plays last year, what exactly is a "much bigger role"?

I'm suggesting he be on the field for most first and second downs. That might still be 50%. Anyway, whoever are going to be our defensive linemen this season, if they are activated on game day I would like to see lots of rotations to keep them fresh and hungry.

I think the longer they wait, the less likely there will be any trade partners. Screw cutting him. Trade him. Even if you are including a pick. I'd give as high as a 6th straight up or even a 5th swap <-> 6th/7th.

There is no reason for him to be on our team. Trade him so any new team can get in him into OTAs and training camp.

Could go in the long line of “Anthony Barr will rush the passer more” or “Laquon Treadwell will play a bigger role”

For those that didn't think the Patriots needed a TE because they had ASJ that's out the window. Watson has a 4 game suspension.

I was surprised they didn't select Irv Smith in the first round. They had other options in the draft that they passed on. It's hard to criticize the Patriots because of their success, but I think they messed up. They will do something, though, and a trade with us has to be on their list of consideration.
