It is nice that Fiala is getting more time...we need him to be a scorer.

What I have observed of Fiala is that he is starting to listen to coaches and letting the game come to him instead of trying to play 1 on 5. Simple game. Give up the puck, move to a better space, get the puck back ...

Forgot the coolest thing about that win
The too-cool crew getting PISSED off at Kuemper
I actually yelled “they’re human!”
Parise and Koivu yakking shit at someone.
It was glorious. They care. They might actually care.
Baby steps.

We have players that we need to give them more time. (Fiala, Hartman as we have discussed but there are more (Kunin, Greenway, Soucy, Seeler, Hunt, and EK). There is a need to develop them and eventually count on them and take minutes and maybe a game away from others.

On a related note; we can see Mercury cross directly in front of the sun today. It happens like 13 times every century.

So same frequency as 9 scoring a goal? That's pretty cool.

Except watching Mikko score a goal won't burn out your retinas.

Could actually revive some hope with a win tonight
LA will be expecting to pick up two against us
They've sucked as much as we have.
Good roadie so far, even playing half-games every night.
Maybe one day it will kick in, that whole, antiquated, lets-play-a-full-game thingy.

Bill Guerin is about to become the 3rd Wild GM to go visit Kirill Kaprizov in Moscow. Guerin seems to think Kaprizov will be here next year.

Well, there we go. One shot, one Dubnyk f-up, 1 goal. At least the mistake was like a band-aid. Just rip it off right away and get if over with

Quick edit as I didn't know it was redirected but the point still stands. Just not as bad as originally looked. Our D positioning just lets guys stand in the crease without any form of resistance.

Another double blunder by our back line. Dubnyk spits another juicy rebound and our sorry ass sack D lets them stand in the crease, untouched, to just tap in the rebound.

This team is so fundamentally flawed it's hard to begin to wonder where we begin. I think it's clear though that BB isn't the answer. I know he's had crappy talent but we are getting worse (if that's even possible).

This group has proven it doesn't matter who coaches them, they play when they wanna play. It's all about effort, and our usual half-ass effort will get us what we have now......a shitty team.

They could not wait to get on the plane
Could have cared less about the result
A couple warriors, and the rest are simply gathering paychecks.
SHOULD have scored 6-7 goals. Got one.
The Greenway group is still the only effective line out there. At least BB is playing them a lot.
Maybe one of Spurgeons best games last night … WASTED
Dumba scored! Gave up 3, but SCORED! Wheee! Put that guy on the AS team. Just put him on another team, please.
We protect him and Brodin and Zucker, while Haula and Tuch and others go elsewhere and flourish.
Serious question .... Does Brodin even suit up anymore?
When is the last time he scratched the scoresheet, with anything? A penalty? An assist? OMG a goal?
Is there any well-paid guy in the league who accomplishes less? Show me one.

Nope. Hate to say it, but Dumbo was +1. Suter and Spurgeon were -3.

yeah, I know

Typical, like he had a good night?

He SUCKED

My point was that he gets dap for scoring.
The rest of his game is crap.
This season … We have had at least about 10 of those shifts where the puck NEVER comes out of our end.
Where we have to ice it, and still cannot get it out.
Of those ten, he's been on for all 10.
What a weird coincidence.

I still think we should move him to forward (Dumba).

I just read about Fiala's broken femur from a couple years ago....I could see him being skittish about going into the corner now. Seems to be coming around.

At least Fiala (as most have noted) has some ability
Can't say that for some others.
Fiala had as many good shifts this road trip as any forward not named Greenway, Hartman, or Ek.

The guys we didn't need:

Haula - 8G and 11pts in 14 games
Tuch - 1G in 2 games. Upper body injury
Scandella - 2G and 4pts +8 in 11 games

Didn't need and don't miss:
Coye - 2G and 7 pts in 18 games
Granny - 3G and 5 pts in 18 games
Nino - 2G and 7 pts in 18 games

Read a long story on the Canes the other day
They are over the moon to get Haula.
Cannot believe his ethic and ability
He is helping take them to the next level. A good team that has gotten better.

We didn't need him. As we have said many times ... this organization didn't know what they had and that's just sad.

The problem is our leaders.....Mikko-Zach-Suter have found ways to make this team all about them for so many years that others just give up and want out.
The wrong people are still here and still ruining this team. I hope it is about to change with Guerin in charge....time will tell.
