ORIGINAL: David Levine Protest where no one can see you? We get it. You only want change if its easy and doesn't get in your way. Colin Kaepernick has 2.4 million Twitter followers. I am sure he can find a way to be seen without protesting at his workplace. So only protest to the people that want to see it? Keep digging that hole. No one has a First Amendment right to protest at work. That is not a hole, but a fact. And yet its allowed by their bosses - and you still have a problem with it. We get it. You're all for change. Just as long as you don't have to see it happen or be affected by it in any way. You and KG should start a club. It was not allowed by their bosses last time. If it is this time, they obviously can do it. Either way, it would not be a First Amendment protected right. And I have nothing against KG, but I will stand on my own opinions, thanks. I need a club just as about as much as any of the passionate people that are replying to me need one. You know, the people that keep implying people are racist because they would prefer NFL players not kneel for the national anthem (look, Bill, no capitals!).. Protests are great. Choose the protests carefully though because some protests are more powerful and useful than others. I think kneeling for the national anthem is a poor form of protest. I do not really see this opinion as being super controversial and deserving of the kind of hatred I, and others have experienced. And, yes, I think being called/implied a racist is hateful. I cannot be more clear on this, but I think it has been lost by all of the responses
