Restructuring is a waste. I imagine it will be a Griffith situation; pay cut and opt out. Why would Reiff agree to this? Next year the market might be brutal for veterans and it will only save us a few million this year.

If Oneil and Udoh are our Ts, we still have tons of depth in Hill, Ezra, and even Collins and Dozier.

I think Bill proposed the lineup I would go with:

Hill/Ezra, Best of the rest, Bradbury, Udoh, Oneil.

We still have a ton of line flexibility. In the above - I'd also cut Elf, but that's never gonna happen.

I prefer from left to right

O'Neal
Clev
Bradbury
Anybody but Elf
Udoh

Either way, Pager has been calling for Reiff's release for months. Good prognostication if it happens.

Protest where no one can see you?

We get it. You only want change if its easy and doesn't get in your way.

Colin Kaepernick has 2.4 million Twitter followers. I am sure he can find a way to be seen without protesting at his workplace.

So only protest to the people that want to see it?

Keep digging that hole.

No one has a First Amendment right to protest at work.

That is not a hole, but a fact.

And yet its allowed by their bosses - and you still have a problem with it.

We get it. You're all for change. Just as long as you don't have to see it happen or be affected by it in any way.

You and KG should start a club.

It was not allowed by their bosses last time. If it is this time, they obviously can do it. Either way, it would not be a First Amendment protected right.

And I have nothing against KG, but I will stand on my own opinions, thanks.

I need a club just as about as much as any of the passionate people that are replying to me need one. You know, the people that keep implying people are racist because they would prefer NFL players not kneel for the national anthem (look, Bill, no capitals!)..

Protests are great.

Choose the protests carefully though because some protests are more powerful and useful than others.

I think kneeling for the national anthem is a poor form of protest. I do not really see this opinion as being super controversial and deserving of the kind of hatred I, and others have experienced. And, yes, I think being called/implied a racist is hateful.

I cannot be more clear on this, but I think it has been lost by all of the responses

Hatred is most commonly practiced by those claiming to be tolerant.

I think the young CBs and WRs (JJ, Johnson, Hollins) and the Oline improving.....they might have to go for it this year. You figure the ages of Thielen, Smith, Harris, and Cook's possible last year---they have to go for it.

Young CBs just got better yesterday.

Hopefully they can tackle.

Oh I think there are clubs already in existence that would be a great fit for them. No need to start a new one.

Yeah I should join the KKK right DF. Or how about the Nazi Party. I'm a huge supporter of both of those.
That was sarcasm in case you didn't figure it out.
I'm the most anti racist Native American, Caucasian and Asian mixed person who's married to an Asian who's lived in the inner city of both Minneapolis and St. Paul, who has best friends of all races and ethnicity that you will ever meet. I've fought racism in my own life by accepting persons of all ethnicity. I've dated White, Black, Native, and Asian. The people Brad refers to as "THEM" I refer to as "US".

"Best" is singular, so you can only have one best friend.

Yours, apparently, is Neopolitan.

LOGIC!!!!!!!!!!

Failed logic. A person can only have one best friend, but a person can have 100 best friends. Those would be that person's 100 favorite friends. I know logic. You don't so stop trying. How about stop being a hateful jerk that wants to spread your hatefulness to everybody.

Problem is, there is no evidence that Clev is an effective guard, probably even less than Reiff.

If O'Neal, Udoh, Hill, and Cleveland can play OT. Cut Reiff and sign a guard for 8 million. (That might be the logic).

No reason to play a player at Guard making as much as Reiff that has never played there before and has now practiced there a couple plays.

BTW, for those keeping score at home, I did want to try Reiff at Guard at the start of training camp and try and either move O'Neill over to LT or to try Ezra at LT. But with Reiff having not worked at Guard and it being the last day of August than that will not work.

Udoh

I don't think Ezra is ready at G - It's why he's been demoted to 3rd string. And who is going to replace Elf? I think REiff at G would be a disaster.

O'Neal
Dozier/Clev
Badbury
Elf
Udoh

I heard/read they tore down Clev mechanics and he is obviously struggling to the change.

You just made my point. Comparing her going to school to Kaep disrespecting our Nation, Flag and Anthem ( I capitalized them all) Grow up you intolerant baby.

Actual person integrating a campus during incendiary times when people are being killed for such things being terrorized by a racist mob vs. failing to deify symbols of a nation that is failing to live up to its core promise of equal protection.

BOHUMM WTH...move it to an appropriate thread.

Just because you don't like the fact that this is a part of Vikings talk these days doesn't mean that it's not. This started because I suggested Kap as backup QB and Bruce made it political.

For me - I don't view the drop off from Reiff to Hill/Ezra as very big. Especially if Ezra develops and is ready to take over mid-season. If that's the case, our best lineman are ONeil, Ezra, and Udoh. Moving Udoh to RG gets them all on the field at the same time with the least disruption and most comfort for each player.

But that would mean benching Elf which doesn't seem likely. Your lineup is most likely the one they go with.

This is not a logic other people know, though:

"A person can only have one best friend, but a person can have 100 best friends."

One and one-hundred are not the same.

Politics aside, our backup QB spot could be upgraded, but upgrading it with a player that missed camp and has not played in the NFL since 2016? That sounds kind of crazy to me.

Had we brought him in before camp? That would have been a different story. I would still be a Vikings fan though even if we did. Probably would not buy hiss jersey though.
