I haven't seen the analysis by other more discerning eyes, but I have to say I expected our run game would struggle last night. After 2 games like the Pack and the Lions, any DC worth his salt would devise a scheme against the Vikes that basically would stop the run at all costs and force Cousins and our receiving core to beat them. And that's essentially what the Bears did. They have a good to great front 7 and didn't even trust that, putting 8 in the box on almost all running plays and some of the passing plays. In addition the Bears banked on penetration stopping Cook before he could get started, leaving the short range pass uncovered and The trade off was receivers running free in the secondary and more time than typical for Cousins to get the ball to them. I would like to have seen some reverses to attack that penetration but I understand why you would respect the Bears recovery speed and not risk it.

Not to criticize our coaching staff, after all we won the game, but if Bellichick were our coach, I would bet we would have passed the ball 20 straight times against a defense like that. Our WRs could have helped us more than they did. The Theilen muff/interception should never have happened. I suspect he'll be on the juggs machine retraining himself to catch with his hands away from his body after he sees the film. I thought the Rudolf fumble was a very iffy call, in spite of the announcers and the judgement from NY. But we survived those turnovers with some good ones of our own.

Speaking of the announcers (maybe you had better ones locally), here in VA, they sounded like Bears fans working really hard to try to seem impartial. And was this had to be the D, E, or Fteam. For a nationally televised game I expected a more "known" crew.

The most likely way to get in is to to catch either Arizona or LA Rams. They are both 6-3. Seattle is also 6-3 but they beat us so they have a tie breaker and they have the easiest remaining schedule of the 3. Not going to try and project tie breakers right now, but to outright beat them, one of them has to go 2-5 the rest of the way.

Right as the announcers sere commenting on what a huge, clean pocket he had, he ducked and rolled to his left and almost slammed into his O-lineman and a defender. I think he threw it away right after that.
