Dakota Dozier has a 49.7 PFF grade for the season, ranking him 75th out of 83 guards (Samia is 82nd). Can the Vikings at least try a week of Jones and Cleveland at guard?

Our coaching staff regarding their judgement on G's is brutal.

Samia was the main backup to Dozier and Elf?

I see absolutely no reason why not to try out Collins or Udoh.

Cleveland seemed like a more natural fit at LG. Moving him to the right probably buried him in the depth chart.

I've been grinding on this since the roster was set. Last year it was decided that Kilne and Elflien were an inadequate guard tandem. The solution was go into this season with Kline's backup and Elflien. No off position on the genius switch there.

I still want to see Oli Udoh play guard. If he and Cleveland play guard then we will have a pretty big interior offensive line, yet still athletic. I would like our chances.

I just don't get it either - regarding G choices. I think Ezra was 3rd string LG during training camp but with injuries has held up very well (and been an upgrade) at RG. Has he been better on the opposite side of the line? Udoh has played RG during the Senior Bowl. Was he looked at as an option went Elf and Samia went down?

I don't expect the staff to make any changes unless Dozier goes down

They only moved him to LG replace Samia. Did you mean your military right?

Our coaches apparently think Udoh would be our worst possible option to play guard. Based their other decisions on linemen, expect Udoh to be All Pro in the future. He's flashed a lot of ability when given the opportunity to play. I was irritated to see he was inactive this week.

That's funny! An injury is probably the only way some of these guys we want to evaluate see the field.

I'm all about equal opportunity in the traditionally male dominated police baton wielding profession. Even though she didn't actually put the beat down on Nancy Kerrigan, I feel she should have the opportunity. Call it affirmative action if you will.

People talk about young offensive minds. Brian Daboll is one of them, he is a fantastic playcaller and gameplanner. Can he be a good coach who knows, but great playcaller, that's coached all over the AFC east, Alabama, KC and Cleveland.

Then I hear people say Robert Saleh is a good young coaching prospect. Sure his defenses are good when he has all pros all over the field and his front 4 can get to the QB. He can't make adjustments nor do his defenses scheme well against good coordinators except for Sean McVay for some reason. Hopefully the rumors are true and the Lions go with Saleh.

You're seeing it tonight, the Bills punted for the first time in the 4th quarter.

I was sure Udoh would get more playing time this season after looking like he could hold his own after the Bears game late last season.

But as history has taught us, the Vikings coaching staff will stay with an ineffective player all season on the Oline, until an injury derails them.

Udoh might be one of the best lineman on the team, but we'll never know unless injuries force their hand.

What's interesting to me... is in that bears game I thought Udoh held his own and Samia looked exactly like he did this year... some plays decent but equal amount of plays where he totally whiffed.

And yet, Samia gets the opportunity... no Udoh.

They have decided Udoh is a tackle and that is that.
