Stefanski?

Wilfs could see what Dabo wants.

Maybe Bieniemy.

I would stop pulling for the Vikings instantly if Dabo were the coach. I think he's probably a decent guy overall, but a massive bloviating hypocritical cliche-meister who thinks everyone has to be just like him and his kind.

If it wasnt for the last few games I would have done anything to bite the bullet and cap hell.

BUT, cousins has improved. and know that he will be here next year.

Book in late rounds? Someone for possible future. Have a ton of weapons need to have a chance to use them.

We don't have a ton of weapons for the future.

- Theilen. His peak years were 2017-18 and as he enters his 30s will never see that again.
- TE. Somehow if you could mix Rudolph, Smith, and Conklin together there might be a real weapon. Questionmarks.
- JJ. Yes, something to build around.
- Cook. Super RB when healthy. # of carries adding up, and not in a good way.
- No 3 WR to speak of. Quite terrible in fact for modern football.

So we have JJ and Cook.

Thielen: yep, we need to find a burner for a 3rd WR that would help both him and JJ get some single coverage.

TE: We are set. Smith, Conklin and Dillon

Agreed. I'm not at all concerned about going into next year with that trio.

Nothing to write home about except high expectations. They won't address TE with so many other needs so hopefully that is how it shakes out.

Why is Chris Jones seeing the field? Piss poor in coverage. No effort tackling. Why not bring Holton Hill back and cut this clown?

Kubiak has been a major disappointment. Have we taken a shot on second and short this season? Slow developing plays on 3rd/4th and short. Our second 4th down play had ZERO chance.
Down by two scores in the 3/4th, 6,7 minute drives all the time. Our sweeps have to be WAY down this year compared to last year.

Our defense simply is not good without Kendricks.

Dantzler is a baller. I noticed Watts a few times, which is good. Couldn't tell if he was playing NT but seems like an upgrade over J Johnson.

That effort by Bisi was abysmal.

I'd be very curious to know Kirk's options at the LOS. On the second 4th-and-1, if Theilen runs a 1-or 2-yard out he's picking up yardage past the sticks and heading straight out of bounds to stop the clock. Is there an option to switch into that, or are we stuck with variants of the play that's sent in?

It took a 24 yard, falling backwards, off-balance pass to get back to the LOS on that final 4th and 1 debacle of a play call.
Maddening.

Lowest grades:

Offense
Dozier: 39.5
• Ham: 50.0
• Smith Jr: 50.8

Defense
• Jones: 34.4
Holmes: 38.6
Dye: 39.5
• Johnson: 40.0

Nick Olson

Dozier is a regular sub 40 at this point, how the coaches can't see this is beyond me.

I was cautiously optimistic about Holmes, he was good for the Buckeyes. Maybe playing alongside Chase Young helped vault him.

I was excited about the Dye pick up especially in the 5th or wherever he was drafted. He was fantastic at Oregon, sideline to sideline making plays all over the place. In the NFL he looks undersized and too slow.

Dozier, Holmes, JJohnson have shown us that they are what they are. Fringe roster guys who should only play when a team is decimated with injuries.

Dye deserves another chance with a good off season to fully learn system.

Dye needs the offseason to work on his body, play recognition, mechanics, etc----the normal stuff in the first offseason for a rookie. I still have a lot of hope for him.

Here's the highlights from the game. Count off in your head on each pass play. Cousins isn't instantly accosted by the D except for two plays. Trubisky only had 'all day' on a couple as well. In general, Trubisky is getting the throw off between 2-one-thousand and 3-one-thousand. Cousins gets the ball out quick on some and is still holding it on three-one-thousand some times as well.

KC is almost assuredly staying in 2021. QB could still be the biggest need because Cousins isn't getting $45 million in 2022.

Biggest gaps:
- G
- G (assuming Cleveland to LT)
- DE (depending on Hunter's status)
- 3T
- S/LB

Priorities:
- QB
- OL
- DL

I believe that $45 million locks in almost immediately this offseason. The choice is eat all the dead cap with no QB this year or accept the last two years fully guaranteed, and the choice happens almost right away when the league (and offseason) starts.

TE is literally the least of the Vikings worries next year.

For better or for worse, the Vikings are keeping Cousins next year. Depending on how things shake out the last two games we could be drafting in the top 10. If so, does Spielman grab an OG or QBOTF? Assuming Hunter and Pierce are okay next year, 2 OG's and a 3T DT could make this team a superbowl contender, plus Spielman has shown he's an abject failure drafting olinemen after the 2nd rd. However, its not often (thankfully) that the Vikes are in a position to draft a legit QBOTF.

Theilan older yes, agreed

JJ stud...Cook stud.

better wr and rb combo in league? I cant think of one.

Seattle, Tennessee, Kansas City, Tampa, New Orleans and Green Bay all have better weapons. But then again, they all have better quarterbacks so it's hard to tell. Atlanta's receivers are equal, if not better. Matt Ryan is another killing his franchise with his contract.

With Beebe at 3WR? Jones at nickel/dime? Unknown at S? Assuming all 3 (G, G, 3T) work out? Bradbury? The coaching? Game management?

There is fandom and there is.... Wow!
