The #Vikings have placed a 2nd round tender on the RFA LB Eric Wilson.

A more reliable Twitter poster.

The Vikings remain in conversation with kicker Dan Bailey about a new deal, source said. Bailey is scheduled to be a free agent at the start of the league year, after hitting 93.1 percent of his field goals last season.

Only if the team wants something to happen, champ. He's still under contract for a while.

I like the Harris move. He's either with us for another year, or we get something of value from an interested party.

People are saying this is a joke. I post it anyway for entertainment value.

The #Vikings have traded WR Stefon Diggs to the #Texans for JJ Watt and a 2nd round pick. More details to come. Crazy.

That's a joke alright.

I can't believe the Texans would give up Watt and a 2nd round pick for Diggs. Especially since they have no high round picks and they traded Hopkins to get one. Further, I love Diggs, but there is no way he's worth that much

Ha! That Hopkins move is one of the strangest moves since the Walker trade.

Watt is 30 and habitually injured... I'd rather have a young stud WR who is locked up on reasonable contract.

Throw in the 2nd rounder... I don't know... it's supposed to be an amazing WR draft.... but we probably reach and get Troy Williamson II.

looks like a two-year deal with $9m dead money in the third year - or we accept a $45m cap hit in the third year....

Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero
#Vikings QB Kirk Cousins' contract extension clears $10 million in 2020 cap space, source said. He was due $29.5 million in final year of his old contract. Now under contract for three years, $96 million, including $61M fully guaranteed.

Sean Borman@SeanBormanNFL
Kirk Cousins cap hits on new extension:

• 2020: $21M
• 2021: $31M
• 2022: $45M

Courtney Cronin@CourtneyRCronin
Cousins does not have the same 'no trade clause' provision on his new, 2-year deal, per source..

.

That sounds very reasonable as much as $32 Million a year to play a game can be reasonable. Glad we got it done.

Basically, the decision to extend Cousins means that the Vikings will keep doing what they’ve been doing for three more years. That means they need to keep doing it with the guys who’ve been doing it, and it would be a surprised if they’re already working on doing those deals to extend Zimmer and Spielman...

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/03/16/vikings-now-should-extend-mike-zimmer-rick-spielman-dalvin-cook/

Just more pushing dead cap out and mortgaging our future in the name of Kirk Cousins winning a Super Bowl...

Yep and that's a very good thing.

Bears signing Teddy !

damn no more Trub ski

That's a very bad thing. Bears could be dangerous with an actual NFL quality QB.

His comment comes on the same day the Vikings signed quarterback Kirk Cousins to a two-year extension, through 2022. Which invites speculation that, with the Vikings keeping Cousins, Diggs has decided he wants out.

Also out there that Diggs is not a huge Thielen fan and has been factor in coexisting in backfield sharing receptions and spotlight.

Will miss the threat, wont miss the DIVA and pouting headcase he became here as of late...

Diggs will be a viking for the next 3 years at least.

or door number three for Bears QB...

Ed Werder

@WerderEdESPN
Source: #Bears are focused on acquiring Andy Dalton or Nick Foles - both veteran quarterbacks who have played for either Matt Nagy or members of coaching staff. There’s a sense in the organization that Mitchell Trubisky should be forced to compete for the starting position.

I much rather see them have Dalton than Teddy or Foles!

Sounds like Teddy isn't going to Chicago....Teddy would make them scary; gets first downs.

I would enjoy the sound of that, and now that SF traded Buckner to Colts for their first round pick they have the ammo to tempt us since reuniting with Shanny wont happen next year for Cousins as speculated all along in SF because of the extention.

Could get interesting... But more likely they extend our HC and GM and its biz as usual and they move on from habitual problem child Diggs...

Agreed. Foles is fools gold.

Unless he is paired with Doug Pederson, he's overrated big time.'
