It's really slow here. I look at Twitter everyday, but right now it's mostly politics. Getting sick of that. The activity should spike again in about 12 days. I suppose that there are some talks between the Vikings and their own players. Reiff certainly should be one of them. Linval Joseph is another one. '

There's talk about how the Vikings are getting old quickly and that this is the last year of their "window for a championship". I wish they had made a move to clear Xavier Rhodes last year. Surely they will do so soon.

The defense peaked mid-way through 2017, in my opinion, with their incredible ability to stop the opponent on 3rd down.

I don't think improvement on the offensive side will offset the decline on defense, mainly because of the inability of the interior OL to pass protect and how that affects Kirk. I wonder how Kirk would do with a better OL and worse WRs -- he's very accurate, so I almost think it would have been a better use of resources to load up on OL instead of paying Diggs and Thielan.

Regardless, you don't have to be perfect to win the Super Bowl, just peak at the right time and get a few breaks, so from that perspective, the window is open.

The window is closing, inching toward shut... We are in a lame duck year of transition before potential big changes to coaching, management, key players --- rebuilding....

Yes, we could have some magical season where we get some breaks at right time and will ourselves into the playoffs, but we are far from a team peaking in all phases and in cap position to retain core players and add the couple perceived missing pieces...

Let's hope they make some good moves in the off-season coming up. That will encourage all of us. Let's hope for the best.

Losing Harris is a big loss no doubt - but I trust Zimmer that safety is not the most important position. But I don't understand the angst. Rhodes and Waynes were FAR below replacement level. We can literally plug Boyd and Hill in and not have a worse secondary. Resigning Mac should be a priority and it won't break the bank.

I expect Watts and Ifeadi to step up. If we get a disruptive 3T - our defensive line will be better than last year. That can be filled in FA or the draft.

I feel the offense can be better. Thielan & Kline healthy for the season alone makes a huge difference. Upgrade LG (and if Bradbury takes a step forward) and the oline & offense improves instantly. I think Kubiak will be a more consistent play caller.

If Bradbury takes that step forward - 2019 is looking like a very good draft. The cupboard is not empty. Hunter and Kendricks are just getting to their prime and have incredible team contracts.

imo kubiak is a big upgrade - i was more often disappointed with stef than not - and he loved those sweeps to the short side of the field....

I got to meet Chuck Foreman Saturday night.

He was going to small town bars in ND, greeting people and selling memorabilia to make money for Youth Football.

Really nice guy. My son and I got a nice picture with him. Bought a jersey that he autographed.

I asked him about the Oakland SB and why they gave the ball to McClanahan instead of him. He said, "Fran gave us the play call and I said 'Really'?" Then he(Foreman) says to me " I've got a 41" vertical and they want me to lead block. Anyway, we run the play and I block into the pile and hear a big roar from the crowd. I'm thinking TD. Next thing I know an Oakland player has the ball. It was a game changer."

Sweet! Not the outcome of the play but the entire experience.

Very cool
Loved him then and he still seems like a helluva good guy
He's the calm in the middle of the Tyrone Carter storm that follows most Viking games on Fox.

Met him and Jay in the Buffalo airport about 2002or so.

Was just hanging out waiting for a flight so I walked over and did the “excuse me, but aren’t you Chuck Foreman?” Bit, which kind of surprised him being in Buffalo at the time. He made sure to introduce Jay who was playing. Pretty cool guy.

Did he Catch a pass, spin, outrun you and score a TD?

If so, it really was him.

Huge news. I guess they couldn't get an extension or renegotiation done.

They still might return after testing the free agent waters and negotiations back here.

The Vikings have shut down the Eagan practice facility due to the Coronavirus concerns. I was going to provide the link, but my software had to defend an attack when I went there. So just take my word for it.

Good Bye X, new rules and refs actually watching your grabbiness killed your game... Wont miss the fake acting, pointing fingers, blaming and just burned limping act...

Cap strapped Vikings gain precious 7.5 M

Now if we could just dump that other bloated contract... but alas some idiot agreed to a fully guaranteed deal...

I'm sure we all are hoping for a quicker CBA resolution.

But, all the 'set for life' players don't want to play one more game.
