Everybody's big board is different. This one goes the extra with a ranking by position that goes really deep. This one will be good to refer to on days two and three of the draft.

As best as I can tell we need a QB2, WR3, TE3, RB3, OG1 and OG2, S2, and DE2. We only seem set at DT, LB, OT, C, K, P, and LS and LB is sketchy. Current depth

QB - Cousins, Browning, Stanley - I assume Browning and Stanley have no shot at QB2

WR - Thielen, Jefferson, Bisi, KJ Osborne, Beebe, Chiseny. I assume a draft pick for WR but likely won't play unless all others get hurt

TE - Irv, Conklin, Hentges, Dillon, Bargas - Wouldn't surprise me if the team felt good about this unit and did not draft one

RB - Cook, Mattison, and FB C.J. Ham - easiest need to fill - just draft one in any round

T - Cleveland, O'Neil, Udoh, Brandel - this assumes Cleveland will play tackle

G - Hill, Samia, Bailey - we need a FA and possibly two high picks here

C - Bradbury - he is who we have

S - Smith, Metellus, Kirk, Dorn - must spend a pick on safety

LB - Barr, Kendricks, Vigil, Dye, Brailford, Connelly - hopefully no one gets hurt

DT - Tomlinson, Pierce, Holmes, Lynch, Watts - this is as set as set gets

DE - Hunter, Weatherly, Wonnum, Wilekes - assume Hunter shows up, still need one more,

CB - Peterson, Hughes, Gladney, Dantzler, Boyd, Hand, Mabin - also set as set can be

K/P/LS - Joseph, Colquitt, Depaola - they are who we have

Our picks are 14,78,90,119,125,134,143,157,168,199,223

BIG NEED OG, OG, S, RB, DE

Medium Need WR, LB, TE, QB

That only leaves 2 other picks for BPA

Patrick Peterson says 'we're loaded'. God help us.

I think Hinton might be groomed to play Center.

RB3 can be an UDFA.

While trying to see who Hinton is I realized I left Hercules off the LB list.

I don't know what all the discussion is about. We are going to take the best Safety available in the first round of the draft....well maybe second after we trade down twice to add 6 7th round picks.

Two 3rds and a 4th get us to around the 20th selection of the second round. Add in a player or lower pick to move up more and take Alabama's Leatherwood for RG.

The Big Nasty looks like a giant guard, which he has played before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tQQgJZtsPE

And get the best remaining FA G now.

I can't recall if I've ever went into the draft hoping a guard would fall to the Vikings in the 1st round.

This might be a first.

I'm really hoping we try Cleveland at his natural position.

If we acquire a LT though draft/trade/FA and leave Cleveland at RG (where he is only mediocre at best so far) is he a second round bust?

A second round guard should be borderline pro bowl at worst

Yes.

But a bust for our coaching staff more than for Spielman or Cleveland.

Agree. It is hard to think that our coaches have difficulty with putting together a halfway decent oline.

Does it?

If he drafted a very good LT prospect and the coaches misuse him, is it Spielman's fault?

If he never gets a shot at T here, and then goes elsewhere and excels at LT, is it still Spielman's fault?

Who hires the coaches? Of course it ALL comes back to Spielman. But you already know that.

Problem is we have no idea what the plan is for the oline. Here are the limited facts:

-When Rieff was sent home to consider his options from the pay cut prior to beginning of last season O'neal was shifted to LT in his absense during practice. I don't recall who was at RT.

-We also know Spielman has inquired with Balt about Orlando Brown's asking price. Was it just a feeler or is it serious we don't know.

-Moving Cleveland over to RG was a bit of a peculiar move. Are they grooming him there or is the plan to move him out to RT and O'Neal play LT.

Regardless it seems a bit of a waste of Cleveland's talents to be inside considering his frame and athletic ability.

Only with an asterisk next to his name saying it was due to Spielman's and the OL coaches tomfoolery.

Nice, tired of trading down.

We have 11 picks, I believe, let's trade up for a change.

thought his hands were subpar and inconsistent in both pass pro and run blocking. His hands were outside the defenders frame in run blocking. Placement was my biggest gripe, punches missed their mark often. Plus his timing was shaky and never really saw the pop I wanted

(Spencer Thompson on Twitter commenting on Vera-Tucker saying he likes him, but he likes Darrisaw better at 14)
