Washington Post reports different numbers than you Brad. What is your source?

My bad. It was an August 3 article. Should have checked the date.

I'm not a very good reporter.

No matter which side your on (Kirk is fine, Kirk sucks) he's being a selfish prick and RS and MZ aren't helping us as fans.

He's unvax'd and, IMO, it's going to be nearly impossible for him to not miss at least 1 game this year because of it. He just has to come in contact with someone who's had it and he's out, what, 5 days minimum?

Given those "facts" our GM's answer to that was to bring back Mannion? Just forfeit the game and consider it another bye week to get healthy....

Can Mannion run a two-minute offense?

He can't run a 60-minute offense...

Draft a hurt OL that is still hurt, draft a QB that can't even be ready for emergency backup roll.

Speilman and Zimmer I hope have their jobs on the line.

Who says the QB can't be ready for an emergency backup role? This move says more about Zim than it does about Mond.

People complain that we didn't take Vera-Tucker, but overlook that he missed the entire preseason with an injury too. Let's see how a healthy Darrisaw does before we write off the pick.

A voice of reason, but Darrisaw not being able to practice/play has been like a kick in the nutz. I don't know about others, but I don't like being kicked in the nutz.

It's all true with the one distinction that Vera-Tucker got hurt post-draft and we took a player that may or may not be damaged goods.

Its very possible our medical staff did an outstanding job prodding and eyeballing Darrisaw's groin area (!), maybe it was just undetectable at the time without actual surgery. However, dropping down from #14 to #23 and taking a player that other OL needy teams seemed to pass on ... like they might have had better intel. Its a conspiracy theory yes but ... it does feel a little dirty, know what I mean?

It sounds like Darrisaw is close to practicing so all this hand-wringing will be moot. We all hope so.

The Mond thing ... totally agree, writing him off now is a total panic move. I thought he looked too rough in preseason to pencil in as a #2 but I'd start him over Mannion. Rough, unpolished but showed some tools and grit to maybe get us over a short period.

Bucs 100% vaxxed... imagine that.

Think ole Tom put the word out?

Your QBs leadership seems to make a lot of difference.

100% agree.

Right!

Tom has everything to do with the Bucs getting 100% - good for them

And Kirk is the cause of the Vikings having terrible numbers.

Freekin' Kirk is such an asshole!

- heavy sigh

If you are the QB, you are the leader of the team on offense. If your QB is not taking every precaution to take care of himself and his team, they aren't showing much in the way of leadership qualities.

Does that make sense?

Nobody is going to dispute that a team leader or starting QB not getting vaccinated is poor leadership.

It's a poor decision, for sure.

For those whose all-consuming life work is spent tearing Cousins down to a completely flawed one-dimensional cartoon villain, its great mud to wiggle around in and enjoy.

For some of us that see human beings as complex combinations of good and bad and just want to see their team win ... its just a real poor decision that may have bad consequences ... and dam we're looking forward to seeing our new punter.

You write well -- the way you put things is fun to read.

No. Sounds old school cliche' to me.

There is nothing this guy can do to be looked at as a leader of this football team - especially this football team. But keep throwing the two together, you do have an audience for it.

Cousins gets well deserved criticism for his unvaxxed status.

Spielman though just backed up a brinks truck and paid the leader of our defense whom is also unvaxxed.

So in no uncertain terms this regime, through it's actions, has moreorless sent the message that vax status is not important to them.

Hence, the lowest vaxxed team in the league.

It sounds like Darrisaw is close to practicing so all this hand-wringing will be moot.

I don't know. That wheel chair gave the look of a dude closer to being submitted to a nursing home than putting on the cleats.

The wheel chair photo was from April– even though it was published in August. That's how the media rolls.

The latest procedure was like the second week of August ... with a 2 week recovery IF no setbacks.

Who knows ... we can't trust the team for real info.

Darrisaw has missed almost everything so it will be a slow process back. Not being IRd, as desperate as we are for roster spots, is a good sign.

I really want him to see some playing time and experience. The oline still gives me the yips, and I'm not even playing qb!

IMO we are better at 2 positions and worse(right now) at one. Help the one(LT) with occasional chipping from TE and good play calls that don't leave him on an island too much.

I found the same photo with an April date but that couldn't be true.

I could not find a date for the photo.

The Vikings Territory article you refer to is dated Aug 27, 2021. The photo is attributed to the PioPresses' Chris Tomasson but not dated. The photo is not posted in Thomasson's feed but he did tweet this day before yesterday:

2:27 PM · Sep 1, 2021·Twitter Web App
Chris Tomasson@christomasson

Source says tackle Christian Darrisaw is doing much better as he works his way back from his groin injury and it won't be long before he starts practicing again. The #Vikings didn't put Darrisaw on IR today so there wasn't a belief he wouldn't be able to play in the first 3 games.

I don't think Kansas City pads their fence in purple. I'd say it was right after his last surgery and they had him office feet
