ORIGINAL: marty Ricky, I think we're in for another nail biter. The Vikings coming off an emotional win, like they did after beating the Packers and Bills, has not been the best. The Donatell defense that last week was strong in the red zone, will be tested with a runner like Barkley. The Vikings offense is rolling, they're at home, this should lead to a win, even if it's a close one. That's why I brought it up. Coming off big wins and losing is such a buzz kill. The MN Miracle, the Bills, everybody has examples. Maybe Im trying to talk myself into a vibe. A huge win would really crank up the atmosphere another notch? "Average people" don't do what they've done is right. Bring it to another level. So much learned behavior for us to deal with, though. If we are really good, winning this next 3 games without getting squirrelly about it should be reasonable. The D playing a lot better on Sat does make it seem possible I think after 14 games its apparent that this team is only really good during certain situations. So I'm less worried about being the #2 or #4 seed, etc. I almost think a bye week home game is detrimental. We won't be punch drunk enough coming out of the tunnel. We obviously need big roundhouse kicks to the jaw and belly to get going.
