GB ain't doing shit this year.

Rodgers doesn't have a guy. What guys he has know what he thinks of them...which isn't much.

Won't be a team won't win much.

Did you see Doubbs and Watson today? Did you watch Lazard last year? 600 yards and 8 tds but out 6 games. Watson missed the last two weeks of training camp. Let’s not kid ourselves. Adams was as much MVP as Rodgers but those three will get rolling.

Their defense is very good.

Great coach.

All I know is I heard the same crap last year. Then they went 13-3.

A covey of Martys.

What the heck are you talking about?

Ingram got trucked repeatedly…

An inside swim move baffled him completely, and he stood there, blocking air, while his guy went after cousins like sour on lemon..

In a 3-4, the “3” are supposed to occupy blockers while the 4 LBs fill gaps and tackle runners..

Kendrick’s went from being a ball seeking tackle machine making plays all over the field, to a below average tackler and coverage linebacker.

Middle crossing and flat flare and curl routes were open for 6-7 yards all day..

GB averaged 6 yPc in rushing with backup offensive line men in the game.

When a fully competent offensive line can give a pocket protection, we are going to see more than 7 points scored..

We dodged two bullets.. the wide open long pass dropped, by the rookie, and the failed 4/ goal, which was a bad overall playcall.

I’ll give it time, but if the 4 part of the 3-4 doesn’t improve a lot.. the back 4 DB/safety group is going to get called on to make a lot of situational saves.

I'll disagree on Ingram. He had a couple of bad moments on our 2nd and 3rd possessions, but I thought he settled in pretty good after that.

From PFF

Offensive line spotlight: Rookie guard Ed Ingram surrendered five pressures — one sack, three hits and one hurry — on 33 pass-blocking snaps to finish with the worst initial pass-blocking grade in the game.

Nice comments by all!

My $0.02:

It was a solid win against a division opponent.

Jefferson is great! A couple catches left me in awe - and there was one he caught where he kinda doubled back a bit like he was going to adjust to where the defender was...and there wasn't one in sight!

I will wait to pass judgement on the defense scheme until I see a few games. Rodgers is not patient. And I think part of the gameplan was to give him the flats and some runs, but take away everything else and see if he will grind it out, drive after drive. (he won't). He took a few sacks waiting for the big chuck plays, too.

I'm not going to help them make excuses for their loss. We have had plenty of WR drop easy TD passes (Williamson, et al) Or injuries and poor OL play....we've been there, too!

The OPI on JJ was not a good call.

Special teams were very solid. I said to my wife early on "they are gonna block a punt today." They nearly did several times.

Playcalling was pretty good. Would like to see more TE up the seam (see Kyle Rudolph).

Runblocking was tough - but their front is very stout.

+2 TO ratio - plus 2 TO on downs.

Few penalties.

Like Trek said - loved the 4th down TD, the 4th down stop, the Kendricks deflection, the Harry pick (LOL), the sack/fumble on Erin, the TD drop hahahahaha

I'll have to look at the tape again ...

Still taping or did you switch to dvr?

Ya got me. I mispoke. I DVR the game and record to an external drive at the same time or record to external from the DVR recorder. But I'll probably call it tape for the rest of my life (old dog and all that).

Now I got to figure out which cloud account I can put it on so that I can show short clips here. Like I'd love to show the Clark swim move against Ingram.

PS - the Puke/Erin do a very good job scoring right before and after half. They did neither yesterday.

PPS - I think we blitzed very few times. Got good pressure with the front and kept the WR/Te in front (other than the first play).

PPPS - **** Erin. Afterwards he was like "yeah...they're a decent team I guess....we will see....blah blah blah" I can't stand that smug ****er.

I'm all for letting Ingram play himself into the position. He's a rookie who shows a lot more promise at rg than anyone else we have on the roster. I say let Terry coach him up a bit and he'll be a lot better!!!

Good points. If we can figure out the run D a little we definitely have as good a shot as anyone. I liked Kirk stepping up under pressure instead of peeling the ball and eating it. O'Connell has definitely started strong!

I'd love you to not show that. That play in part looked like Ingram thought he was supposed be handing Clark off to Bradbury.

Kind of another little tidbit I noticed in regards to TE Mundt; I wasn't expecting anything and he looked similar to Conklin during the game.

It was more saying we beat the 3 time division champ. It was a very good win.

Of course it was! And they don't get any excuses either. We had a good gameplan even though I started to get the here we go again feeling in the late 3rd.

This says how bad it was getting:

This was the first time JJeff has been over .500 as a Viking....

Also this:
• Justin Jefferson: #1 graded WR
• Kirk Cousins: #2 graded QB
• Brian O’Neill: #2 graded OT
• Ed Ingram: #6 graded G
• Ezra Cleveland: #12 graded G
• Dalvin Cook: #7 graded RB

Vikings: #2 graded offense

It is an overused term these days, but it applies to him 100%: narcissist.

All that goes well is him. All that goes bad is on others. Too cool for everyone else. Etc.

I enjoyed the run where Cook got about 7 yards, was stopped, and then Cleveland (and I think Darrisaw), pushed him another 4 yards for a first down.

I don't know if that was the case or not, but it's why I take PFF grades on olinemen with a grain of salt. They don't know the line calls or the assignments. Strictly on eye test, I thought Ingram held his own, given who he was going against, as the game went on.
