I wasn't making excuses for the Pack, just being cautious with the win, as Dan said we dodged a few bullets (the dropped pass by Watson, the poor play call at the goal line by GB).

I want to see the Vikings tweak a few things, so they can beat a team that isn't missing 2 stud OL, and their best WR.

Next week should be a good test on the road.

I enjoyed the run where Cook got about 7 yards, was stopped, and then Cleveland (and I think Darrisaw), pushed him another 4 yards for a first down.

Cleveland looks like he is still getting better. He looks a bit more physical, so far. Darrisaw looks like he may have a little mean streak in him.

GB ain't doing shit this year.

Rodgers doesn't have a guy. What guys he has know what he thinks of them...which isn't much.

Won't be a team won't win much.

Did you see Doubbs and Watson today? Did you watch Lazard last year? 600 yards and 8 tds but out 6 games. Watson missed the last two weeks of training camp. Let’s not kid ourselves. Adams was as much MVP as Rodgers but those three will get rolling.

Their defense is very good.

Great coach.

All I know is I heard the same crap last year. Then they went 13-3.

A covey of Martys.

Trying making excuses when the Vikings lose ...

Because I don't think the Packers have mailed in the season I'm trying to make excuses? I think not.

Here's my point:

1. If someone on this site ever makes excuses about loses, points out regulars missing, etc they get their ass handed to them ... it's the way it is

2. Seems like too often when we win a big game, have something to feel real good about, someone tells us there are reasons for it and we shouldn't get too excited about future success because of the outcome.

-- we all know who was out for GB, that Rogers looked disinterested, laconic, maybe like he did one too many mushrooms. So what. It's like we're being told to not get too excited because we'll be back down to earth soon. Well shit fire, I know that, and so does everyone else - almost. Probably everyone in here has experienced two SB loses, most have watched all four. And I'm sure all of us have seen the last 6 (in a row) NFCG losses.

- Listen, no one did anything wrong ... I'm just pointing out one of my many peccadillos.

Who isn't excited after watching JJ go off like that!! Heck Kirk looked different. After Zimmer and the 1970s playcalling I'm loving things so far!

I’m still in the cautiously optimistic camp..

Been a fan, way too long..

All four Suoer Bowl losses....

Soul crushing..

Anderson missing the clinching Figgy after a perfect season of makes..

The beginning of decades of anxiety..

HTAFK

brain numbing regret..

The 41-0 blowout…
Resignation sets in..

The crossbody dumb **** interception…

I told you so…

The futility of the next decade..

Finally getting a complete regime change and winning against the Pack on opening day..

A flicker of “ A New Hope “…

Next Sunday.. if we go on the road and beat a team that squeaked past Detroit and gerrod Goff… I’ll begin fanning the flames..

2-0 and + 2 in conference wins…

Let’s do this…

Well said Dan. I think most of us can relate to every one of those points.

Philly scoring first will curb my enthusiasm a bit.

But how we respond to that scenario will determine my ability to be positive, a whole lot more.

No more turtle offense, playing to run out the clock with a lead, is what gave us a decade of mediocrity…

I want aggressive attempts to score on every possession, regardless of lead, or not.

That is what football is about.

It was nice having a long time consuming drive when we needed it. That was supposed to be Zimmers calling card but yet it seemed like we could never do it.

Anyone watch Broncos/Jets...

Thank the stars Nathaniel Hackett never made it on the Vikings radar.

Broncos ill prepared.
Tons of penalties... many of them stupid.
And some of the worst end of game management this side of the Zim.

Terrible.

That was bad. Very Zimmerlike. Where I'm at they're on almost every Sunday. Yikes.

I thought Wilson was going to thrive in Denver... looked VERY UGLY tonight.
I don't envy your viewing options.

Considering they were going for the FG, I'm not sure what they did wrong.

Throwing short and hoping on almost every play, going for the winning field goal.. is losing mentality..

They got what they played for, a prayer kick for a career long on the road..

No surprise he was wide left, twice.

I am excited about KOC and this team, it was almost dreamlike the way things played out. It was what we talked about here, we were just unsure everything would go that way.

I had the Vikings winning 11 games, while losing the opener to GB, so now I think we're in for a 12 win season.

Win at Philly, and it climbs to 13.

I liked that the Vikes ran 3 straight pass plays, after getting the ball with :17 seconds left before the half.

It would have been nice if any of them were successful.

Could they have tried a hail mary on the last one ?

Fourth and goal at the 1.. second quarter.. PAtrick Peterson calls Time out..

Why?

12 men on the field, defense.. Aaron Rodgers is pissed he didn’t get that call…

Patrick Peterson… “ I’m gonna do what’s known as a non-BrettFavrey move….”

The weirdest thing about the offense was that Kirk actually looked more aware, involved, and mobile then I have ever seen him.

Even the big play to JJ he went the wrong way on the play action moved forward in the pocket the wrong way and he feet were planted the wrong way and still delivered (albeit a wounded duck) to JJ for a big play.

Hopefully, we'll stop seeing that as weird soon.
But i ill say, seeing him audible was weird to me, "Wait! Oh yeah, its probably ok to do that now. "

Weird in that he looked agile and even when his footwork was messed up he made a play; that hasn't been the case. He looks totally into it. Yes on the audible also.
