Geno, Cousing, Jones all these guys are very mid cast-offs, that aint taking us anywhere.

Doesn't that describe Murray as well?

I think Murray is something far worse.

Mac Jones threw 24 TDS to 23 INTs in his last 2 years in NE

Arizona was willing to pay Murray $30million to leave town....think about that and then tell me we made a good deal signing him.

Yes, we made a good deal signing him. Go back and look at what was available at the time. And for $1.3M. No draft picks given up of course. He was a crap shoot playing with house money.

Exactly. From a financial standpoint it was pretty responsible. Everyone knew there was a chance it wouldn't translate to the field.

Well, moreover who else was out there? Back then I posted who was, and it wasn't pretty. The low cap was a plus.

And back then I posted how twinkle toes would make some good plays and some bad plays, all the while being entertaining. Not consistently productive, just entertaining.

That aside, never figured he would routinely miss easy passes. Missed passes that would have led to him being a walk on at best, but more likely never being in the league.

But as we know, he DID complete easy - and more difficult - passes in his career... until he was tied to the QB Whisperer.

I couldn't agree more Bill. I thought the entertainment factor would be there. This offense is absolutely disgusting and boring.

It's all BS. The Minnesota nice press meets a HC who sings kumbaya and all is well. And while Spielman still has his hands on the roster, the human whiff Kwesi had years of free reign over the team.

Brzez let his inner assassin loose and cut most of the deadwood, but we are stuck with some pretty good players who do not live up to their financials. And more importantly, no QB prospect.

And the results of the 2026 draft, while still unknown, show an inkling of 'not so much'.

Yeah shit, for every 'exciting' run Murray makes, he also stands around and gets sacked.

Darrisaw just garbage in pass pro yeterday
He will never be elite Not the same after that knee injury

I tend to disagree here... Darrisaw was fine, IMO.

Kyler holds the ball -> sack
Kyler won't step up in the pocket or feel pressure -> sack

Not sure what the disconnect is... but guys are open and Kyler is late or refuses to cut it loose:

Looks like the NFL is pushing the "Trade Deadline" hard. Another thing from the NFL marketing machine to get people buzzing.

Use picks for the draft to build the foundation. Use cap in free agency to round out the roster. But using picks & cap chasing names during the season is the way to ruin teams run by desperate GMs on their way out. What do they care after they are gone.

It's fine to target a player for a key need to propel a real contender even higher. But when you need a QB, RB talent, parts of an OL... come on. Fools Gold. Who started all this trade stupidity anyway? Oh wait

Chicago has the best head coach, and the best QB in the division.

Minnesota has the best DC in the division.

Get a Pro Bowl guard, and Jonathan Taylor, and the Vikings can compete with any team.

Or be stupid, do no trades, go 10-7, and pray the draft will shore up the weaknesses and make the team a contender somewhere down the line.

I just don't know how much incentive there is for Teasley to make a move this year.

He probably sees the QB situation as unfixable. (which is likely true)

That means any chance at winning it all is EXTREMELY REMOTE.

Trading draft picks away on a team he didn't build makes it harder for him to build the team he envisions.

I guess we'll see.

After seeing Sam Darnold win the Super Bowl, I think just about any QB can win the SB.

Teasley is actually in a bad position in the sense that he needs to have the team show improvement, and improvement because of his moves. I am not sure the organization will be patient with what could just be small improvements, while struggling to keep BFlo, and losing McCarthy could have already hurt him.

Teasley should be appraising the situation, adjusting to it.

As other competitive NFC teams are making major efforts at improving their teams, inactivity looks bad, especially when the glaring needs at guard and running back are there, and even more especially when a talent like Jonathan Taylor is available for probably a reasonable price.

Reported by NFC North that the Vikings had a players only meeting today that included Flores but no O'Connell.

Interesting if true.

Teasley is in a tough spot with a fast start and elite defense but I don't think he's going to make a major trade.

I still think we are more than a player or two away from serious SB contention, including, needing a QB

Looking at the soft schedules for the rest of the division, if the Vikings make no moves, I think it's possible the Vikings finish last in the division.

I do think Teasley is in a tough spot as well. However, I almost feel like he will be able to have an outsider's perspective and be objective what needs to be done with the entire team, including the coach. Let's hope we can muster at least one win the next three weeks.
