Looking at the soft schedules for the rest of the division, if the Vikings make no moves, I think it's possible the Vikings finish last in the division.

This team feels exactly like the 2016 team. Slightly better defense and much worse offense.

Have a couple of things going on so I won't be here much for a while. Dad has stage 4 cancer and Step Daughter just had a car accident on Saturday. Luckily her husband and the 18 month old twins are fine but she has multiple fractures in her right arm.

Driver was doing 70 in a 55. She was turning left 1.5 miles from our house to see us for Halloween at 12pm ish and was passing a farm tractor then taking a left. The driver tried passing the tractor and her car and then realized she was also taking a left. He flipped his Camero and was ejected (wasn't wearing a seat belt) and survived w/o a scratch somehow and the stepdaughters car (A Ford Focus) got spun around 1-2 times. Very grateful everyone survived.

Please take a look around and make sure you say what you have to who you can.....we could have lost 4 of our love ones Saturday.

8-9

That’s my call..

Next two are losses for sure..

9r’s and bears are losses too..

Our QB situation is untenable..

Tbh.. the only games I think we could win without miraculous Defensive Play, are the falcons and jets..

And the NFC North is shaping up to be a dogfight...and we are running a poodle out there at QB

Get a Pro Bowl guard, and Jonathan Taylor, and the Vikings can compete with any team.

Or be stupid, do no trades, go 10-7, and pray the draft will shore up the weaknesses and make the team a contender somewhere down the line.

I just don't know how much incentive there is for Teasley to make a move this year.

He probably sees the QB situation as unfixable. (which is likely true)

That means any chance at winning it all is EXTREMELY REMOTE.

Trading draft picks away on a team he didn't build makes it harder for him to build the team he envisions.

I guess we'll see.

Agreed. Poor QB play is a big reason why the offense is arguably the worst in football. There are no QBs out there who are going to catch lightning in a bottle and help lead the team to the SB.

Teasley is going to face a huge challenge this offseason.

Fries has not been a good signing. Lots of $$$ tied up into that guy and he couldn't hold up on a 3 man rush from what I saw. Eating crow on that signing.

I also saw Addison getting more separation than JJ most of the game....not sure if it was the play calling or what.

Watching the Bears on Monday night.....boy it sure is fun watching a QB that can make a pass. Maybe we will get one some day. LOL

Watching Bears...
Jeffrey Simmons is gonna be a problem.

Yup, he looks like a load.

Chicago getting Simmons is a great example of a wise trade. Their DL was terrible in a couple of key metrics. Meanwhile they have a pretty good team otherwise. So go pay for a 1st Team All-Pro. And not some washed up one from 10 years ago, but from last year. With accolades going back 5 years.

Instant results. And Simmons owned Nelson last night.

Didn't that team start out 5-0 only to finish 8-8?

I think O'Connell's offense is just broken and he doesn't know how to fix it. The QB play this season with Murray looks the same to me as last year with JJM. In fact, this offense has pretty much been dog shite since week 16 2024. The only common denominator is O'Connell.

IMO, the offense itself isn't broken.
The offense + murray is completely broken.

If you check the link I posted.. and there are a bunch others out there...
There are guys getting open.
Guys getting open for easy completions that would be big gains.
Multiple TDs there for the taking.
Murray just not capable or not seeing it or not confident enough or who knows...

Film Work vs the Lions - The ALL 22 game film is the best way to see where the problems occurred in the Viking offense. For the most part, Kyler Murray is having trouble playing "on-time" and getting off his first reads (JJM did too). 2nd and 3rd receivers do appear to be open.

“I was disappointed, We almost had that battle on 4th down, his best vs my best with the game on the line, that’s a moment every coach dreams of. I wanted that moment, I wanted my guys to go out and get the glory of shutting them down on 4th. Instead they punted and it felt more like a white flag being waved.” -- Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell

Not a lot of people realize this, but that was pretty much how bud grants teams played..

The the fanbase was spoiled by Denny Green and the explosive offense.

That offense was not “ complicated”, and Grants was even simpler.

What is different is the mind of the coaches.

KOC Is not a football coach, he is an HR manager.

I have no issue with him being an HR Manager but a couple of trades can make a difference.

I don't mind the Purple People Eaters but we need a higher ceiling QB if it isn't Kyler......when anyone says Wentz I see Joe Kapp.....not enough.

Ouch. A deserved digg though. O'Connell doesn't appear to have a nut sac

I'm getting the feeling Teasely is going to force KOC to lay in the bed he made this year. He may do something small but I think most of those picks are being saved for him to use. I'd be ok with it at this point.

It looks like the Bears are set up to win the division the next 4 years.

If the Vikings do no trades, and have a decent draft next year, the Vikings could compete with the Bears for the division in 2030.

IF the Vikings upset the Bills, will KOC be given any credit here ?
