Update:

My Juvenile case has rested and is in the hands of the judge..

My best case scenario, realistically, is that they take away my rights, leave my wife with her rights, and she gets to keep Rylee out of foster care.

Worst case is they terminate both of us, me for being a lousy patent who is accused of but not guilty nor convicted of a variety of Bull chit from domestic violence, to child assault. Never proven, denied by my daughter repeatedly, and all charges thrown out and sealed in criminal court.

“Juvenile court has a lower standard of ‘proof’, 1% doubt is all that is required to ‘convict’ and remove a parents rights to be parents.

If they TPR both of us, Rylee will be given up for adoption to a random family, in Nebraska, and we will not be allowed any visitation or control over what said family decides to do, not do, teach or not teach our child.

We are going to be cut out completely.

If that happens, we go to the state court of appeals, and after that to the Supreme Court of the state of Nebraska..

God help me and my family.

Best wishes to you for turning this around, Dan. Obviously you can't get it all back the way you'd like it overnight.
Settle in for the longhaul with the conviction that overtime you will make it all right - regardless of how much time it takes, regardless of how much adversity and negativity comes with it.
The way i see it, you're a dad, what other choice do you have.

My life is hell on earth.

My wife divorced me in an attempt to get the juvenile court to give her custody of our daughter.

The wonderful state of Nebraska, specifically Judge Elizabeth Crnkovitch of the Douglas county Juvenile court has seen fit to rule that neither my wife, nor myself, are fit to be parents of our daughter, Rylee, and as such, in her judicial wisdom, with no explanation or justification, has summarily TERMINATED both of our rights as parents.

We legally no longer have a child.

We are of course, going to appeal.

This is easily, the worst day of my entire life and it’s all I can do to keep my chit is one miserable pile of watery vomit.

I am physically sick , emotionally destroyed, but for the love and sake of my family and daughter, I must keep fighting.

I know there are some on this board who enjoy the misery of others, hope I made you day a little brighter with my family’s devistation.

Julie is bawling her head off and I can’t console her..

Rylee is the only decendant of her family tree that ties her parents and grand parents and all the Smith/ Cline family’s together.

Rylee is the only Grandchild and heir to the family tree, on that side of the family tree, that represents the future of Julie’s blood line.

I made the conscious descision @ at age 53 to give my wife a child so her family line would not die out..

Epic fail.

There's always a TV crew looking to get involved in a fight if it means it'd help you, and eventually them, get some publicity.
As was said. No reason to tiptoe. Get an aggressive journalist to look into it. Compose some e-mails and spread them around.

Difficult for the little guy to get any traction when wronged by the slow wheels of the justice system.

Scott's suggestion about turning to the media might be your only recourse. You need to somehow get this in the spot light as a human interest story. If it can grow legs through the media that can be a powerful ally.

i have emailed a local news station// all i can do at th8s point.. haven't seen my daughter except a 40 minute visit with her therapist in the room. since oct 2016.

her freaking therapist went all postal and cut off the meeting because I

1. picked my daughter up and gave her a hug.. she was 7 for crying out loud and i hadn't seen her in almost 2 years. just a couple months short of 2 years.

2. kept brushing her straying hair out of her eyes with the back of my hand.

3. dared to give her a kiss on the face as we met for the first time in 2 years.

FFS you would have thought i had beat her and yelled at her.

im destroyed.

I can't even sleep and haven't worked since may12th.

but there is no contact ands her foster family can basically do as they please with her.. they plann on moving 100 miles from omaha..last i heard from my wife.
