evidently only one RN in this entire facility, last night, has the abilityorskill nesecarry to insert a 20 gauge needle in a vein foran IV for contrast Dye.

so we waited...2-1/2 hours for this nurse to finish whatever the heck it was she was doing with the other 11 patients on the ward, to come do this proceedure.

mom slept poorly... they took away her water becasuse of swallowing problems..and now they wont even let her have a sponge swab soaked in water to keep her mouth from drying out.

She IS miserable.

I am pissed and about to go confront someone about the inhumanity of This treatment,

I know a different hospital can mean a lot. We moved my dad whom was getting borderline abused at the Rice County hospital in Faribault up to one in the Cities.

The difference was astounding.

Input from far away and incomplete knowledge of situation, but the denial of water until her aspiration risk is known may keep from getting pneumonia, which could be lethal in her condition as you've described it. I know this doesn't make it easier to see her misery and it doesn't mean her clinicians are doing what their supposed to, but their judgment seems sound on this particular point.

Very sorry you're having to go through this, and you're right that our healthcare system is a mess.

Didn’t even get to say goodbye to mom.. The fn nurse called security, but I left before they showed up. The mini “ security guard” was getting off the same elevator I called to go down and leave..

Mom was miserable, I could. See it in her face and she said she was so thirsty and these fn milenial nurses. We’re all sitting at the station doing nothin but gabbing..

I swear to god.. I am resigning from. My health insurance plan and letting nature do with me what ever it wants..

I am done.

Sick, tired, broken, hopeless and insane....

God help me because I can’t help myself.

I am aware of the why and the ****ing flawed reasoning.. but if a woman’s mouth is so ****ing dry she can’t even muster the spit to lick a ****ing stamp the “ caution” has gone too mother ****ing far.. a sponge swab dipped in water or one ****ing ice chip was all I was asking not a ****ing two liter bottle of water and a beer bomb hose...

I am home now.. well the place I sleep and keep my clothes and park my car.. it’s not home.. that would be this mythical place where I live with my wife and daughter as a family, all under one roof...

Anyway... I apologize for just dumping my whining in this thread.. but sometimes I need to “talk” about stuff with regular people...

My psychologist is a pompous ass who likes to talk about himself and his other accomplishments, more than help me deal with my issues of anger management and wearing the facade of compliance and fitting in like everyone else does and expects, especially for people who have kids in the foster/ protective custody of ward of the state status..

My psychologist can not wrap his head around why I am sooo pervasively angry about my family’s circumstance.

He has said I “am suspicious of the motives of others, and has persecutory tendencies... “

Ya Think?

He can’t or has not yet been able to connect the fricken boulder sized dots, despite my leading him by the ears down the path that is at the root of my anger..

His response is to “ practice calming techniques and control yourself and do not let others see that you have a lit fuse... “

Blah blah blah...

None of that in 15 months of therapy has gotten me one minute closer to family reunification, but I’m supposed to keep running on this hamster wheel, shell out money for medical and legal fees and “ keep your hopes up”, eventually it will get resolved....

Insert skeptical snort of derision here...

Well another banner day for the Young Family, I just was served with papers from the county attorney to terminate my parental rights with regards to my daughter.

Wife received
The same papers.

They just won’t stop.

They claim as proof that I am unfit :
1. I have. Not provided proof of a stable and safe home environment.
2 despite the fact that I go to a psychologist every week, “I have failed to consistently engage in therapeutic counciling to adrsss my issues “
3 even though I have a family advocate from Nebraska family services, I fail to make use of peer to peer support methods to address my needs”
4. Despite the fact that I got bitched at about trying to be involved in my daughters life and buying her clothes and school supplies and food ,,.. “Mr Young has failed to provide the necessary support and basic needs of his child, Rylee.

It’s all a bunch of lies.

I’m going to my lawyer and my psychologist tomorrow to hash out the response to this bu,lshit..

Unbelievable.

I hate Nebraska and their Foot ball team sucks as well..

You guys and gLls all qualify as my peer to peer mentors and I am forever grateful to you all for your support.

Feel free to email me messages regarding your opinions and support, and if you grant me permission, I will submit those as evidence that I have “peer to peer “ support.

God lord this state is a fn nightmare.
